Most helpful perspective I've ever received on the topic of guilt, shame and OCD, and I mean from any video, book, doctor or therapist. It so much more helpful when it comes from a fellow sufferer. And I appreciate that you're so good with analogy, and articulation. So real and practical. Can't thank you enough for sharing.
Thank you so much for all your videos on self acceptance. I feel like with my OCD there is only so much I could get out of doing exposures because my OCD is about a real event that I can’t learn to accept that it is something I’d done. Thank you for sharing your experience, it certainly helps me not feel alone. Your videos also made me realise that I’ve had chronic guilt sitting in the back of my mind for so long that I kept trying to ignore (which clearly hasn’t worked for me). I really hope to make my through this!
I do have real events OCD and it's ruining my day, I learn self forgiveness from Christianity. But I am happy about that concept in unconditional acceptance was established. Great Christian example is St.Paul, who is first referred to as Saul, He was persecuting Christians, yet had a powerful encounter with Jesus that led to his conversion. He answered the call to spread the Gospel to all peoples and nations. From bad person Saul , he became St.Paul and apostle of Jesus.
I feel like your telling my story when I’m at the gym. Those feelings in the stomach and feeling on edge. Thank you, Rob for always sharing your stories because I’m working on recovery ❤️🩹
One of the best videos about OCD and acceptance! Can work for any theme, harm, false memory, driving/hit and run, etc.
Absolutely Jace!

Thanks bud. Helps a ton to hear someone talk about these things like they’re normal since most times they feel as far off from normal as possible

Great video as always
appreciate you Robert - this is great
Great stuff! The spider analogy is great for breaking down the myths surrounding simplicity of breaking down fears.
