It's so strange to hear her album in English when you're totally used to listen to it in Faroese. But either way, I love her songs.!
I agree. I'm actually only used to hearing this song, and maybe "Brotin", in English. The rest I only know in Faroese. Wicked album, and this is a brilliant song, with a deceptively simple video :)

For me as a native english speaker,it's maybe a watershed moment in some ways.Even though I don't speak any scandinavian languages,I still feel the emotion and heart,and still know I dont get it entirely.It can be strange,some sentences feel completley natural to me lol.Anyway,love from Ireland,Northern Ireland.

the WONDERFUL thing is, we can all have it in BOTH Faroese and English, and therefore, two dynamics, two feelings, two deliveries and a World of choice for new fans to get to know about Eivør and then she can tour to more places, so we can share and see the magical shows she performs. The original, is that, the English is an alternative, same if she sung it in Spanish, would give a different vibe again..(not that she speaks Spanish) peace and love ;)
I heard this song listening to some random playlist while sailing back home one morning and the sun was just rising. It was so perfect, I had to listen to it again and again...pure gold! I guess now I'm going to listen to her other songs because I'm totally blown away. Thank you for this!
