    At Vox Automobil they drove the Mercedes EQS from Munich to Berlin (~650 km) without charging. 16-17kwh consumption at 130kmh. That seems to be an amazing car.

    For comparasion: I Drove the ioniq 5 on highway with average Speed of 114 km/h about 60 km distance and Need 22kwh/100 km , the ID 4 Need 22,1 kWh/ 100 km at AVG Speed of 123 km/ h.
    I think the ioniq 5 Need roundabout 23,5-24 kWh / 100 km at AVG Speed 123km/ h .......

      Did u reset the range calculation at Start or was the consumption built up on the driving behaviour of the driver before?

    • @desmoheli
      @desmoheli Před 3 lety

      60km is not a sufficient length to judge consumption and the consumption does not rise linear with speed so probably the ioniq 5 in your example might have consumed close to 28kW/h if you raise the average speed around 10 km/h
      After all, consumption comparison only makes sense on the same route, at the same conditions.

      Teslabjörn had Ioniq 5 with 19" wheels at 24.4 kWh per 100 km in the 120 km/h test. Nextmove got 23 kWh per 100 km with target 130 km/h and real GPS average of 114 km/h.

    Love to try it with smaller tires, like 19 or 20" rather than the massive 21's you had on it to see what sort of efficiency and range it has.

    So at 90 : 500km easy and at 130 : 300km easy.
    In most cases ppl only can drive at 120km --> 400km possible? That would be great. Across Belgium in 1 charge 😅

      @@BatteryLife what a pitty, i was also wondering about this comparison

    • @typxxilps
      @typxxilps Před 3 lety

      @@r.b.6619 Why, the results have been released already. ID.4 has a significant lower consumption (about 1,5 to 2,5 kWh at highway speeds) and the bigger battery, but slower charging speed and a bad rear view due to missing viper. Long distance planing is not really working yet, but charging speeds are extraordinary well, a lot better than ID.4 (about 80 kW higher) or at least 12 minutes less charging time. But higher consumption of Ioniq 5 with smaller battery size hurts it twice and some might go for the ID.4 for such reason cause how often are you doing road trips beyond 300 km and need to fast charge where you only then could save about 12 minutes ?
      Not that often, but still a huge disadvantage for the whole ID family .

      I’m this case while talking, holding a camera at a screen, messing around with buttons and watching the road with your left eye, travel assist would be essential. I think there are better (and prob more legal) ways of making a vid.

    Hello great informative review as always . Can i ask a question ? I have ordered an ID3 delivery mid August . When i took the demonstrator vehicle out for a drive i didnt notice at junctions an auto hold function ? I,m presuming it has something to hold the vehicle on a gradient ? I have looked in different forums , the question has been asked but nobody seems to give a definitive answer ! So i thought i know a guy who will know for sure Chris 👍
