Hey mate - well done on this series of of beginner videos. I am just waiting for my licence to come through and then onto buying some rifles. Your vids have been invaluable in getting my knowledge up and I feel more confident because of it. One question - can you tell me where I can get a relative cheap reticle leveling tool - similar to the one you used in this video. I have searched online for a tool and they all seem pretty pricey. Cheers.

Thanks Ozzie, how do you rate the redfield scopes? I have the revolution 3-9x40 and the clarity and build quality is great. Especially at the price point, I paid $290 for mine new.

Just re-did my smithless No1 Mk3 scope mount. Soooooooo many variables that can go wrong. Missing 2 screws off my rear rings too. I wonder if it will work because its super super dodgy.

I notice that the mounts that came with my scope are different. One mount has a little raised button on bottom. The other one doesn't. Assume the one with button is rear with button acting as shim.????
How do I chose the right hardware to fit the rings to the barrel? It only has two threaded holes on top.

Does a recital leveler come with the scope or do I buy one separately?
Need to buy them separately - about $45 here in Australia. Cheaper online from overseas but you need to pay shipping...

It was just something that I had made up years ago, it's not a commercially available product but if you want something like it, there are many commercially available options out there...
I was just looking at the box and thinking it looks like a good woodwork project for my kids
the scope is mounted too high are they the lowest sets of rings that ruger make
Any lower it wouldn't suit me, it's the perfect height for my head :)
Sir I am looking for scope for long range shooting 100 to 1000 yards can you guide me which type of magnification required for it. So can I see the target clearly on 1000yards

Don't forget to lvel your rifle and or action first or it will still be crooked
That's exactly what the reticle leveller does... it is measuring level from the action and then providing the bars to align your reticle with from there, so if people follow this they will have the action level.
If the table and therefore gun is out of level and you put your scope in level, won't they not be aligned properly?? So exaggerating the point if you had your gun leaning at 15deg and put your scope in level wouldn't it be 15 deg out?
His level sits flat on the rifle so if its showing level the rifle is level too, then he uses the lines on the tool to make sure the scope is level.

Hoping everyone is keeping an eye on Biden's gun control! Contact your Representative and let them know "You will not comply" Be ready to stand together and resist! Get in touch with every gun club etc that you know and be on the same sheet of music for when the time comes do defend your 2nd amendment rights! Remember, the government wanting to take your guns is the reason we have the 2nd amendment in the first place!!!
