I really like your playstyle with not so many pauses. Keep it up! Many people play ONI like Pause -> Make a lot of orders -> Unpause and 3x+ speed. Like there are no dupes, everything is built instantly.

You can build the temp shift plates in a checkerboard pattern to save on resources. Each plate effects all the surrounding tiles.

Temp shift plates made of gold are not so good. If you have granite - it is better and cost less. Even sandstone should be fine :) just compare their Specific Heat Capacity and Thermal Conductivity.
