❤Love....love....love our Freddy and the guys so much! Its a very long time since I listened to both of these hits. The first made me laugh out loud and the second made me cry. I was very young back then but I was a fan and bought every hit they made. I was just wondering today how old Freddy would be But I guess he has been gone a long time. Now he's up in heaven making the angels laugh.🇬🇧
The story goes like this: Before any of them were famous, at a venue in the UK, Freddy and the Dreamers were on before the Beatles and performed several cover songs the Beatles had previously rehearsed and expected to perform themselves. Lennon and McCartney were incensed and vowed that instead of playing covers, they would start writing their own material so they would never be one upped again. So we owe Freddy a lot. RIP Freddy Garrity.
@@hollywoodjoe123 Yes. They heard it at rehearsal. Really pissed off Lennon and McCartney (professionally speaking--they remained personal friends). But look at what we got from it...

He's doing The Freddie!!
Freddie is as Freddie does
If it's canned laughter, don't complain. It's canned music, too. Those guitars aren't plugged in. Great song.
I Understand is a great cover of the G Clefs classic. Freddie could have been a great Buddy Holly impersonater.
Despite the presentation, this is a great song!!!!
Rip freddie
Yes that is Brian Epstein of Beatles fame. He hosted several episodes of Hullabaloo in 1965
wow spot on
His appearance wasn't great, is it?
Came here to ask that, thanks for the confirmation.
They giggle but the Freddie is harder than it looks. Serious choreography.
Really? Serious how?))

Great post, thanks for sharing!
The crowd are laughing AT him, not WITH him... But it works
The presenter looks like the manager of the Beatles
Not only did that look like the manager of The Beatles, that WAS him!! The late great Brian Epstein!! :-)
Brian Epstein?
Interesting seeing Brian Epstein doing the presentation! 🤔
sounds like the crowd got the comedy... but....not their beautifully sung a song
the band should have focused on the music (which is great) and less on being dorks.
