Great Video and a great book
Thank you Roy!
It’s million pities we don’t have great fun groups like Freddie and the dreamers in 2022, this is a unusual song but great
By that, this aired on ABC (as originally in color) as summer replacement 1967 for ‘Hollywood Palace’ until august 1967
This nice little tune has BRITAIN all over it!! A true British sound!!! :)
Nice glimpse of Freddie in the late 60s.
My first hearing this song. What a gem!!
It's a bit goofy but fun to listen to. Freddie and the dreamers are awesome.
No hit since 65, the bands days at the top were over but still this is great
Freddie went in part to the Childrens TV involved with a couple of projects released under different names
Brilliant!
I am really falling for this unusual little ditty. Glad to see Pete ditched the Epiphone for a Jazz Bass. Good move.
Crazy Song. Never heard of on American Radio
Or British radio!
@@peterchecksfield9958 ...we have heard this song on Radio Luxembourg!
I liked it.
So odd seeing Freddie not jumping during the number
Its funny how groups started using a recorder, an instrument previously associated with music lessons in junior school, after Brian Jones played one on Ruby Tuesday - the Beatles (Fool on the Hill), Jimi Hendrix (If6 was 9), Led Zeppelin (Stairway to Heaven) - and Freddie and the Dreamers....
I've always seen The Mamas and The Papas' 'California Dreamin'' (released December 1965) as being the song that started the whole flute/recorder trend.
@@peterchecksfield9958 Yes maybe - but I think a flute had more credibility than a recorder. The instrument on If 6 was 9 by Hendrix was a recorder but apparently Jimi Hendrix wanted it credited as a flute
Oh man, I was hoping Freddie had done something with Morecambe and Wise
Has Freddie done something with the Beatles?
Oh hey, it's me again!
Nice little toytown/psyche
funny little gem
Groups got more serious over the 60s
Só entender o Roy Crewdson usava cabelo desde 1964
anyone know who wrote this song?
Too lazy to use Google? I just did, and it's credited to Carter-Stephens.
Great performance, but what's the meaning of the song?
It was based on the songwriter's experience hitchhiking from London to Birmingham.
@@Selvikus thank you
