I had 60 job interviews between July and September 2022 and 100 job interviews between January and September 2023 in the Salesforce Ecosystem, and I can tell you: you must have grit, tenacity, perseverance, fortitude, and focus. You must skill up. You must have a portfolio. You must earn certs. You must network. And you must be open-minded, which means you need to apply for jobs that are scary, and you may end up in the best place ever!
Layoffs are brutal. But hire freeze is hurting newcomers probably even more. No new job openings = no way to get into the ecosystem. Hope it will get better next year!

don't chase Salesforce roles ... only get into it if you're already working a job at a company that uses Salesforce ... THEN consider transitioning over to Salesforce focused work

AI muhhhh boosting the Global Economy IS NOT good for Salesforce professionals ... AI improvements and adoptions into the Salesforce platform will erode the need for talent more and more
don't worry AI will create lots of new opening in new fields as well. So, on a overall basis, the chances of contraction in Job opportunity is very less .
