Portuguese migrants seek better opportunities in former colony

- Portugal's poor economic outlook has driven tens of thousands of people to leave in search of a better life. Many are heading to the country's former colonies, including Mozambique, where the economy's expected to grow by seven and a half per cent this year. Al Jazeera's Tania Page reports.

It's a new day. Africa is on the rise and parts of Europe is in decline so they are seeking a better life in Africa. I think only some of us African Americans see Africa as backwards. The rest of the world know what's up.

Interestingly, what the Portuguese migrants have explained in the video is exactly why Angolans are trying to migrate to Portugal. Only thing is, Portugal isn't doing so hot. So they'll find that finding work that isn't much easier than in their home country
What's next? British going back to India to provide phone technical support?

Not exactly, The capital still remains in some parts of Europe but most of the world investment is out side of Europe and it's in the American / Asian, South American markets. In fact Africa's largest trading partner is with China. And most Europe's economies are built upon debt . Keep in mind these immigrants are unemployed, and there are plenty of Angolan , and Mozambican business owners needing some new talent. So it's not all easy and care free to get a job.

Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and many other nations that were once poor have become very rich and technologically advanced by cooperating with the west, asking help from the west and taking example from the west.
