Next Up for Top Rank Boxing, Australia’s fighting emperor and former unified world champion, George Kambosos Jr., is on a mission for a new belt. Standing in his way is a Ukrainian fight legend, Vasiliy Lomachenko, a three-division world champion intent on writing another triumphant chapter in his Hall of Fame career.
Lomachenko and Kambosos will clash for the vacant IBF lightweight world title as part of a world title tripleheader on Sunday, May 12, at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. Two additional world title fights will be announced in the coming weeks.
Promoted by DiBella Entertainment, Top Rank, Ferocious Promotions, TEG Sport and Duco Events, Lomachenko-Kambosos and the two additional world title fights will be broadcast in prime time in the United States on Saturday, May 11 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+.

Took prime Loma for granted. Making Fighters quit without power. Just accuracy and foot work. Mentally exhausting his opponents.
Great fighter. What really worked against him was the hype. They started comparing him with Mayweather who is just something else. Loma is an elite level guy who just is not heavy handed and has gone to a division where he is undersized and the top 5 guys are all great fighters themselves. In any normal division guys like Campbell would be champions while we had Haney, Garcia, Davis, Teo, Shakur at 135 at the same time.
When Loma fought an elite smaller guy in Rigo we saw what happened. He maybe is not at the level of Mayweather or Roy Jones but he is not something you see often even at elite level either. Would be a loss when he retires

@@billmurphy3510 To the contrary i dont really think it worked against him. Lomas first 10 fights were better than 99% of boxers. He had a lot of hype around him but for good reason. Keep in mind he fought in a Tourney before this that should’ve been apart of his pro record.
As far as heavy handed Loma has KOed a lot of champs. He has decent pop and lots of accuracy. He has wobbled pretty much every dude he has fought. Besides being compared to other boxers there has been no fighter like him. I think he cemented his own legacy because people get compared to him now.
His run at 135 has been sad so far but its not due to his size more over due to how late he started boxing. He entered into boxing late and close to his prime. Then the war in ukraine and inactivity we saw the decline of him. Hopefully he wins this next fight for a belt and we see a unification for him and i think he will retire afterwards.

As if many legends like Chavez, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Leonard, Durán, etc didnt literally fight bums in their first 10-30 fights!
