- There are a lot of different kinds of gifts the Lord can give us. But which ones did he give you?
Any talent you have, whether in art, music, sports, or charity is a gift from God. He chose you specifically to receive this talent, and sometimes they’re easy for us to discern, while other times it’s extremely difficult. Someone may have an amazing singing voice, but feel like they’re not good enough to share it. Another may want another kind of gift so badly that they ignore the ones they were given. Regardless of the people around you, God has given you these gifts so you can share them with the world, and glorify him through your beauty.
Today, Mari explains the types of gifts we can receive from the Lord, and how we can claim them in order to praise his good works.

Wow you have an amazing group of friends.❤️ I pray to be surrounded by God loving people so that I could find encouragement. I feel one of my gifts are encouraging people but I need to seek encouragmnet myself through videos and scripture but it would be nice to have a circle of people that also are true followers of God.

I’m a cantor at our parish and people have asked me many times before to join big singing contests. Although I’ve won school singing competitions before but for some reason the only reason I’ll keep on singing for is God that’s why I’ve remained a cantor for a long time.
And every time I sing at mass,before it starts, I always pray to God to make me His instrument and that I would be able to use my voice so that people would be able to feel His love more during the Holy Mass. I love hearing people say after mass that they’ve felt God’s love through my voice than hearing people say compliments about my voice alone.
Thank you so much dear daughter of God! This really made me think! I am going to practice singing again to exercise my voice!

YAASSSS! Be bold in asking! This is my favorite topic in Youth Ministry and Young Adult Ministry to discuss. Someone much wiser than I once told me that we as Catholics don't need to climb a Himilayan Mountain to meet the bearded man sitting cross legged and ask him, "What is the meaning of Life?" This person told me it's simply three things:
1. Discover your gifts.
2. Fully develop your gifts.
3. Share your gifts with those around you.
This is how God intended us to fulfill His promises.

There's a bit of controversy as to how useful the Myers-Briggs Personality Test's is in practice (because its validity and reliability are kind of questionable), but the Big Five Personality Test is really well supported and very easy to use and understand. I find it's a great tool when trying to learn more about myself and the charisms God has given me. Loved the video! You're doing great work; keep it up! God bless!

My birthday is in October, and my baptism day is in March because I was baptized in 1997 at age 11 on Easter Sunday. I have taken the Strength Finders from Clifton and the Spiritual Gifts finder both. Learner, developer, strategist, Responsibility were some of the traits mentioned for me in the Clifton; in the spiritual gifts, I got Mercy, Faith, and helps. The thing about mercy was how it centered on social justice causes. I have been drawn to law and legal proceedings in the past, but I have never been much of a lawyer. Revealing my real face has also terrified me because someone could make fun of how I look, and I want to look good for the camera.

I want to cry. My whole life I have been passionate about storytelling and art and when I was younger the two gifts I have have been that Im a good writer(to the effect of being able to put forth a convincing letter to have the courts allow my mother back into the country) and a good artist(its something I can do almost effortlessly). And my parents have discouraged me my entire life to not pursue these gifts to the fullest and I dont know whether to feel frustrated or elated. I need prayer

Took that spirituality test, and I have low faith lol. I must have answered wrong. leadership high? not really... so the results surprised me. I think the questions weren't quite lined up with the outcomes. But praise God something, I really love taking these things and checking out where I am at....fortunately for me, I won't be my judge.

I really love gymnastics although quit 6 months ago because it was to much for my body and my back hurt really bad doing it (because I have scoliosis and didn’t know), I miss it and want to go back, but I also love doing things for animals, and I started playing piano last semester of 6th grade (I’m going into 8th) I found out that I’m really good at piano but I don’t do it often. And now I’m stuck to know what my gift is

Respectfully, that cannot be true - perhaps true in the way the world sees gifts and talents, but in Truth , all are given gifts related to accomplishing their part in Gods plan. We must pray for God to reveal your gifts to you.
We all have gifts. Some more then others. Think of an Autistic person that is a genius for One thing in their lives. The rest is bathed in confusion.
Everyone is given Gifts. Whether we know how to use them for what God Wants is another story.
I don't have many gifts, and what I do have I'm not very good at using them, and I have no idea what I am suppose to use them for.
They are not gifts to help me win, first prize in anything.
There is a reason for us with less Gifts. I have Faith in that. Because God does nothing by accident.

While I can usually hear people talking, it's very difficult for me to follow a video without the closed captioning because I can't process the words fast enough (by ear alone) to keep up with the speaker. I once was a 50 year, professional photographer. Since I learned my human form images are sinful, I have sadly given up my love for the human form. And now I feel lost and worthless in the eyes God. 😒

God has given you gifts, the devil may try to twist it and scramble it to confuse you, but the more you surrender to God, the more he will definitely show you exactly how he wants you to use what he gave you in order to bring other to him and give him glory
Ah well, lemons to lemonade. Clothes, a person's real clothes, tell interesting stories about their character. Not studio perfect, something reflective of their life.
Like the difference between plein air painting and still life, or working from a photograph. I'm sure there's zillions of examples, but painting is more my interest and not photography.
Dunno how it is with photography, but fine arts painters need a foundation with figure drawing in order to represent the human form. Which was invented by God, and gives him glory merely by existing. Pornography is an obvious diabolic mutation but you know your heart and I don't presume to instruct you there.

The truth of the gospel and our relationship with Jesus is of a different magnitude to your psychology and personality tests. Your Myers Briggs personality definitions are all about self-help. There is nothing wrong with self-help but it is not what The gospel is about. Jesus moulds us like clay into a new creation. There is an element of the divine and godly in it. You can define yourself with the pre-fabricated labels that Myers Briggs provides, or maybe you could understand that you are infinitely more complex than a pop quiz, and let almighty God reveal yourself to you, through his grace and truth. Jesus says I am the way and the truth. Surely that should be good enough for us. Or does God’s ways need augmentation with pop psychology and new age hocum? Seriously stop thinking and listen. Jesus will tell you all you are and all you have ever done, just like he did to the woman at the well.

I totally agree. I took a test in the past and a lot was true but some wasn't true anymore, because God really changed me. It's just like with horoscopes you assume that's who you are and you can't change. But like you said God is molding us and I'm definitely not same person as I was 5 years ago thanks to Lord Jesus.
