Fun Fact: she's not just doing a random character. Bobbi Flekman was Fran's character in the mockumentary movie, This Is Spinal Tap. So this was a crossover episode.
Nice catch.I'd nearly forgotten that.
If this is a crossover episode, how do you figure in Michael McKean? He played David St. Hubbins in *This Is Spinal Tap* and CC's "charming, wealthy, educated brother" Noel. Also, McKean was Lenny on *Laverne & Shirley.* His best friend Squiggy on that show made a cameo in the episode where Fran and Val share an apartment reminiscent of Laverne and Shirley's. So, *The Nanny,* *This Is Spinal Tap,* and *Laverne & Shirley* are all connected?
@@musicaltheatergeek79 The episode description when it aired on TV even said it was Fran Drescher in her "Spinal Tap" role.
Didn’t know that, thanks for sharing 😊
Omg, how did I forget that?
the way Max knows it's Fran from the Loehmann's tag and says 'I use it on my nanny thousands of times' is just PURE GOLD 😂😂😂😂😂
I miss Lohemann's so much!! :(
That jump when Fran walks in and Maxwell says 'Bobby!'... Pure gold 😂
Idk why I found it so adorable how he started playing around after finding out it was Fran. I know he was joking, but this was one of the moments where he actually treated her like the jealous girlfriend she was being lol
"Bobbie, forgive me.. I'm a little confused here.. I was under the impression we were just good friends."
"Whaaaaaa....T. ?" 🤣
Drescher was the Lucille Ball of her day and pulled it off quite sweetly.

Soo true
I love how Max started back tracking after kissing her before he saw the Loehmann's tag! Dude thought he was falling for Bobbi for a split second 🤣
Love the reaction on Maxwells face when he saw the Loehmann’s clothing tag. Fran’s favorite clothing store for discounted clothes. Now he realizes who he was kissing.
"Oh I almost blew it didn't I, FRAN?" 😂
I love Frans hair when it’s pulled back she looks so chic
"You mean Sting?"
"Yeah!"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love Fran Drescher’s physical comedy. That twitch in Maxwell’s office.
Val is the best! I loved the way she went out of the room like a sad puppy hahaha 😍
Val is the most underrated character here. We should've had seen more of here. Love her ❤
Definitely, love Val!!!
*Val was one of the Main* _"Valued"_ Characters with a *Recurring Role since she was so important* to the show. So I don't know where you get _'underrated'_ from. The Focus was Fran & Mr. Sheffield which made the show a success. Val was valued like Sylvia & Grandma Yetta with with storylines written to include her in specific Episodes. Sometimes even a small line just so she can appear in the Episode.
@@TheBrownIsland recurring roles in this show are more present than the 3 children who are considered main roles presents in every episode. Sylvia is almost a main role
HOLY MOLY! I never she reprised Bobbie Fleckman for "The Nanny"!!!! Wow!!!!!! I'm so happy she embraced the character! She really shows off what makes the two characters different, which isn't so apparent when you just imagine them in your mind. You just think: Fran Drescher.
What an amazing scene!!! Fran is an amazing actress! The physical humor on the Little details and connecting to the public with the little expressions...
Fran switched characters so many times here that, I'm not sure who i am anymore. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sylvia: Say you're in a buffet.
Fran: Yeah.
Sylvia: And there's one piece of cheesecake left, and some obnoxious woman tries to grab it. What do you do?
Fran: Cut in front of you, Ma.
Exactly. Cut right in front of that Bobbie Fleckman at the man buffet….and grab your piece! 🤣🤣🤣
This episode is the perfect example of how Fran was ROBBED of an Emmy.
Love that widow's peak.
It seems to me that Fran Drescher is even more beautiful now than she was back then. A beautiful face and Soul.
She executed this to perfection ☺️💗
This episode’s audience wasn’t paying enough attention. They missed two of the jokes in this scene: Fran starting to sit on his desk before stopping herself and Maxwell claiming he knew it was Bobbie all along. Tsk tsk.
She is elegant with hair bun.
I wish i could erase my memory of this show so i could watch it for the 1st time again
Yesss 😭💅
3:35 I want the bloopers for this moment
The Hostess with the Mostess. Fran Fine and Spinal Tap in the same universe! Does it get better than that?
3:30 I never stop thinking about this moment xD
I love this short! Please guys, publish the full episode so we can enjoy it all! Fran is the best and seeing her playing two characters is even better!
“Val! Go home!!” 😂😂😂
The last "oh" & that look on her face 😂😂
Love the dress and hair. Stunning!
And those stilettos! The accessories are beautiful too
Bobby Fleckman from Spinal Tap 😂😂😂
I absolutely love the Nanny episodes soooooo much! Especially this one!
What is CC doing smelling the bread at 1:34 XD
Val, lmao 🤣
It's funny how they brought Spinal Tap into The Nanny universe with Fleckman's character. She really played up that whiney Fran Fine voice for the show. Everybody forgets unless you grew up in New York in the 70s that Drescher was in Saturday Night Fever.
This might be one of a couple of times Fran was being mean to Val. Sure, she would have blabbed, but she should have had two drinks for the price of one.
Val is exhausting! My god
i love how when ever they kiss or are about to kiss Fran just melts 🥰
Stink/Sting 😂
Fran reminds me of Lucy.
She looked like Lilith from Cheers and Frasier 👀
Did you notice he never really wrote the autograph in minute 0:52?
Oh come on I've been laughing at my butt off if I saw Sylvia holding the door shut for Bobbie.
After Maxwell looks at the tag on the dress, it's there until 4:10 when it disappears even though no one took it off the dress or tucked it inside.
Stink!
You mean Sting?
Yeah
this is gold
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 love this episode 🤣🤣🤣🤣
In the french version it's not "stink" but String .. so .. thong in french 😂😂 it was so funny
1:20 poor Val, she left like a sad doggo
I'm actually laughing because it looks like 90% of the commenters on this video seem to be unaware that she's reprising one of her most iconic movie characters.
Bruh I love fran
Aw, Fran’s so goddamn adorable
Ppl call him max ..I always call ..Mr Sheffield 😊
hahahaha la nanny siempre sin sacar la etiqueta a los vestidos XD
Why do they do stuff with the door open lol
Divertente
🤣🤣🤣🤣
❤
❤omgoodness I lov+ th+ fact that h+ found out that is was Fran and sh+ didnt know kn+w so h+ w+nt in on that s+cond kiss caus+ h+ didnt know wh+n h+ was going to g+t anoth+r❤️
Poor Val
The sharpee isn't even touching that cd case.
❤✌😂
Fran was a real piece of work a lot of the time. She was always ruining things for Maxwell. I know a lot of people are anti Max but In life there is no way a man like that would keep such a career ending liability of a woman around.
Haha I always thought the same thing with Lucy and Ricky.
Ohhhhh boy, not sure how anybody could be anti Max. At heart......a good man.
I "love" it when ppl start to take comedy sitcom seriously :DDD
@@charliez077 ikr😅
My, my, my, don't we take this show a little too seriously?
Stink hahhahahaha
Me encanta la serie, pero ya me daba cringe estas escenas donde Fran le rogaba a Maxwell que a que se decidiera a formalizar una relación.
Todo se basaba en ellos ya los niños casi ni salían en escenas
