    I like it ! Finally a bike with a short stem and real grips ! Not a fan of those ergo grips everyone uses .

    Those welds are sanded and filled smooth. It weakens the weld joint. It should only be done to low stress joints.

      @geemy9675 Před rokem +5

      isn't it ok if the weld is done with more material in the first place? do you mean it's the missing material that weakens the weld or the action of sanding? from a mechanical point if vue it sounds like a smooth could perform better than one with bumps and creases which could concentrate the stress in some points?

    If I could afford a “ just for fun “ bike this would be a good choice.

    Interesting. BTW, those are not BMX hubs. BMX bikes don't even have thru axles. Those are more like 26 Inch DJ bike hubs and this is a DJ bike it makes more sense.
    It might be fun to mess around on, but my DJ bike weighs about 26 pounds and I am not sure I want to be hucking almost double the weight around.

    Is it viable to add a multispeed rear hub? This would make a great all around choice for a smaller rider

    • @geemy9675
      @geemy9675 Před rokem +2

      if you can find a multi speed rear hub that fits the rear thru axle and the width (maybe with adapters for quick release), that can handle the 120Nm for the Pro version, and you dont mind mind the extra weight in the rear, loss of thru axle toughness so overall less capable dirt jumper, I guess.
      you could also add a dropper post to improve versatility

      just add a shifter cut-off, and the motor's torque won't' be an issue.... and the frame already doesn't have thru axle dropouts (fork stays), so the strength at that mating point will be unaffected by the change....

    Can you add gears in the back and a smaller chainring in the front?

    • @geemy9675
      @geemy9675 Před rokem +1

      you might want to keep the big chainring with a 1000w mid drive to take advantage of a lower cadence at 28+ mph

    You didn’t talk about the frame creek when you pedal or that it won’t go up hills.

    Can you take the battery out for maintenance or replacement?

    • @williammadisondavis
      @williammadisondavis Před rokem +1

      My guess is the battery slides out the bottom, but you’d have to remove the motor from its mount. It’s definitely not fully encased in metal
