  • This Browning was sitting in a friend of mines safe for over 20 years only being wiped down with oil on the outside to keep the beautiful bluing and prevent rust. I did have 2 failure to ejects out of 50 rounds of Eley Team.

I have four varieties of Eley in my ammunition locker and all of them have failures of some kind every time I shoot any of it. That is a very elegant rifle for sure and a shooter to boot. I was at an estate sale several years ago and a Dakota Arms 22 went for six thousand dollars. Too pretty to bang around in a pickup truck. I ended up buying two rimfire rifles there trading my Winchester Model 61 and a Marlin Texan edition 30-30 in the process. The deceased owner of the guns had a Winchester Model 63 for every year they were made plus some different grades. There was a Ruger 10-22 22LR converted to 22 Magnum in the collection. Serial numbered 1of 10 I can't recall the name of the gunsmith it had a Lilja barrel and a custom stock made for the shooter. This man had long arms, one of the rifles I bought had a one inch spacer and also a thick recoil pad I removed both of them I couldn't reach the trigger with my short arms.

I have a Browning A bolt 22 that was made in 1986. I didn't know that Browning made them until I walked into a local gun shop and saw it hanging on the wall. I asked to see it and it looked brand new. It had a Leupold 2x7 scope on it and I loved the feel and looks of it. I asked the price and the guy said $350. I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough.. lol It shoots very tight groups at 50 yds and I have always been happy that I lucked up on it.

That Browning is what I call a "Sparkler", while they may not put them all in the same hole they are sure nice to look at and fondle, that counts for something.

Browning A-bolt's are a beautiful rifle indeed! I have handled and shot one in the not to distant past. Very well balanced. Elegant in every detail! Nice presentation!

Nice video, Thanks. How is the trigger on that rifle, adjustable? Single or two stage? Thanks

I have a beautiful T Bolt from 2002. I shot some Ely TeneX at 50 yards. 5 shots in about 1 hole group. Amazing. I going to try some different ammo in it probably this week. I will see how it shoots other ammo. The rifle came with a Leupold Vari X lll 4.5x14. Got the rig for $400.

I've got a Browning Medallion A-Bolt in 22-250, looks a lot like that! Maybe a bit bigger though! ❤

Alot of old 22s were used as US training rifles but I've never seen it scratched on like that. All mine are stamped

Bought one of these new when I worked at a Gun Store in the 90's. It was stolen by some crackhead neighbor's, along with several other guns, including three that belonged to my Grandfather, back in the early 2000's. Miss it. 😓

It appeared as though you had a lot of finger on the trigger. Causing you to pull shots. Was the trigger hard to pull?

When looking back at some older traditional firearms. Just how often did we while thinking that barely good enough was the dogs semi spherical objects. In doing so totally missed out on diamonds like that Browning. You just know that from now on you are going to keep checking listings and local gun and porn shops until you find a descent example at a reasonable price. Tree rats “n” Wabbitt’s watch out! Probably a good non urban barn rat “n” flying rat pigeon option with slower subsonic ammo. For less backstop damage. For when that pellet gun is not quite enough.
