some tips on how to climb as support: 1. never heal your teammates. theyre usually inting platbot shitters anyway. leave the healing to your other support 2. turn off match and team chat so you dont see people flaming you for no reason. this will only distract you 3. do dps only. 4. avoid high ground. be sure to position in front of assault mode bastion/ enemy tank as much as possible 5. t bag enemies as much as possible 6 . be sure to type "ez" at the end of every round/ game you win, and "tank diff" at every one you lose.

TLDR: Illari very high skill ceiling, great if you have good aim, very good in high ranks but in lower ranks characters like Kiri and Ana are still great options!
I have a Question: How is Unranked to GM any different from Smurfing? How does playing in lower ranks provide more educational value as opposed to playing in your actual rank? Unranked to GM seems more like content farming that's dishonestly framed as _Educational_ only to dodge allegations of Smurfing.
@@MiaoNya Not saying I agree or disagree with it but I think I can answer these: The argument to differentiate this from smurfing is that smurfing is intentionally trying to stay in a low rank to farm lower rank players, whereas unranked to gms try to reach, well gm. The argument for playing in lower ranks: a) Proves it can be done in lower ranks to prove to people that it's not their teammates b) The person doing it doesn't have to try as hard as they do with people in their own ranks and can focus more on their commentary. Again, not stating whether I agree or disagree, just trying to point out the facts (cough cough also making a video about it on my other channel soon cough cough)
@@RandomEevee smurfing is not intentionally keeping yourself in a low rank. Smurfing is playing in ranks lower than your rank on purpose. Which is what he is doing. For two - a GM player making it to GM who would’ve thought it was possible. It doesn’t prove it’s possible. The rank being there and people achieving it already proves that. All this proves is that a GM player can do it. Get a bronze ranked account and coaching a player into climbing would be way more education than watching a GM player blame their teammates. Even says in the second game “only reason it’s close is because Im sucking rn” also for ANY unranked to GM is not a “new” player as being unranked usually intends. You can’t show me ONE tip or trick he even says during his video even during “low” ranks. And if you think “I’m gonna stop healing my team and just DPS Illari” is a great tip for low rank players, then you honestly just don’t know overwatch. Dude is a joke and literally does these to farm content easily. He’s a toxic piece of shit and I’ll say that with my whole chest out.
Also I just want you to take notice to something here. You here him says “that’s why I am playing on a account that doesn’t have unranked time. Because I could’ve played on another --“ before he stops and don’t finish that sentence because he knows better. His content would be ten minutes is he played on an account level up by quickplay. Even wanted got GM in one hour by doing a proper unranked to gm. By playing on account he leveled up through quickplay, the system already had a good idea of where Wanted belonged on the rank system. But because this douche bag neeeeds content he didn’t want to be placed in his actual rank. It’s why a good majority of his Unranked to gms he is placed around gold or plat, because the system doesn’t have much to go on besides placements. And then acts all fucking “wtf” when he does get placed when he KNOWS it’s gonna happen. Go ahead and make your little video, doesn’t change the fact that metro is a piece of absolutely whining dog shit who does nothing but whine and complaint about his teammates. Here’s a tip metro, if you play in your own rank you can “trust your team to use their brains” don’t play in ranks lower than yours and complain about their imperfect gameplay. Piece. Of. Shit.

dive coms do best against her a s her pylon becomes useless if she has to move it around too much. Kiriko is probably the best counter, playing with a monkey or tracer.
@@LukeB_ correct answer dive comp is very good vs her. Doom, winston, dva, tracer, sombra. And no, kiriko is okay vs illari, though her cleanse counter illari ult
She’s definitely isn’t a must pick on every map, she’s definitely gonna be strong on poke/brawl maps but dive maps she’s kinda useless when your team goes dive heros
As a low ranker i feel like i have to heal more cause everyone's positioning is shit. Ill play silver lobbies and heal 20k plus. And in gold ill heal like 8-12k
@allenanson4746 depends upon who you are playing against. If you have 4 supports playing dps. The better dps is gonna win. If you have 2 supporters and 2 dpsing as long as you don't have a dps feeding the supports actually supporting are gonna win. But it really depends

And you make it sound like you can only either heal or dps, when there’s hero’s like Baptiste and illari where u can balance heals and dmg and have high stats in both
I was in stream too to watch Illari. She is very strong in every rank, you dont really that much skill despite she has high skill ceiling . You only need good position , decent aim and pylon spots= you are good. The heroes is great at taking space and snipe the shit out of sniper and every other dps/support I played couple games today vs many masters and couple GM. Tbh, rank right now is a joke and I dont care at all because the low players. So most of people auto get promoted to master, gm, diamond etc without even play single game. Like you can see all the time GM having 0 games on season and still be a GM like wtf To the point, against people who know how to play her. Good dive tank like Doom, dva and winston are effective against her. It's the tank that have to jump on her to open space. Dps cant do that, though I found Ashe dynamite is extremely good at taking her and pylon down due to huge burn radiius. Ofc Tracer, sombra are also threat to her but those also dependant on map where you have way to reach HG. Versus good players, I think Illari can struggle but that goes for most of heroes when enemy literally focusing you or counter you. Still , Illari is a big big threat with her pylon and ability to snipe like kiriko WITH HITSCAN and high range fall off. She is just too good man Kiriko, ana are more valuable, easier to fit in comp and even bap are trenmendous value. The point of Illari is not doing "better" job than those above, but she is just great at creature pressure on enemy team I guess. Like they can't play any low mobility team and do well against illari, just no way. The fact her ulti charge so fast, you get so much value. Let say for kiriko, she can't do much when winston or dva jump on her, Kiriko often tp away. But illari can positioning pylon and shift out of winston bubble and stay there challenge him.
Yh she is no where near as high skill as people make her out to be, her hitscan hitbox is huge at full charge which makes her amazing at confirming low hp kill with just decent aim.
@@puntybrah pretty sure her hitbox on laser doesnt matter if you full charge or not. It is the same huge hitbox you can literally off your crosshair by a mile and still hit head. Her laser hitbox is ridiculous

I always say this and I know it won't change your belief or help alot but most "smurf" accounts u encounter in ur games (new accounts etc) are alt account of players that play around that level and are barely higher on their main. I actually did an experiment on my last UR2GM and see how many new accounts I encountered on my team and the other, over the span of the entire run I encountered around 30 accounts, none of them were grandmasters smurfing and I beat most very easily. That's not to say you never meet players way above your level but most of the time u are not, true "smurfs" are very rare since high level players get to their rating very fast. Also in this case, I'm not actually a support player at all so my main had the exact same plat rating this account had, so it was just me playing a new role.
