I really don't understand why Zack wanted his fiance Emily to be extremely thin since there's nothing wrong with her in the first place but what I do know is that Emily made the right decision to not marry Zack at the end of the story because he never really appricated her the way she is. I bet after that no woman would ever want to date or marry Zack now that everyone seen his true colour at the wedding especially learnt how he had treated woman for their outside appearence.
Being super thin is bad too. It's a recipe for early wrinkles and weakness
