Great video. The only thing missing is confirmation that the centre column controls still work. Its illegal where i am from to touch a touch screen while driving for probationary drivers (first 3 years) and the state has special automatic cameras to detect this at random locations. Obviously the screen is too far away anyway. Steering wheel controls are ok, but the volume knob is better.

if you go to card settings and change the model of the car on the logo in the canbus setting will make it work.

Love it! I currently have a 2016 Fiesta and was thinking of getting this exact model! Do you find that the giant screen is distracting while driving? It's quite a bit larger than the standard unit, that's my main concern atm
It’s my friends car . He does say it’s large and can be a little distracting.but doesn’t block view . Like anything you will get used to it eventually.

Yeah you can reach . Might need to lean a little forward but as mentioned. If u got steering control working your fine

Hi Ish thanks for the vid, I Installed a very similar screen to the one in the video however the central controls and the steering wheel controls aren’t working and I have to turn the volume up on the screen, also the code you used doesn’t work to access the extra settings. Just wondering if you have a solution?

Each manufacturer has its own code . Go back to seller and ask or you can google combinations for your hardware and software . The canbus is set incorrectly you will need to set correct canbus as in video . For this you need to know make of canbus and try different Ford combinations for model
I have bought a vertical style screen for my fiesta, got the canbus and my screen detects when cars in reverse and when doors are opened but it doesn't detect my steering wheel buttons I've been trying to fix it for over a year with no successe
Do you have any idea of what it can be of how to fix it?

@@netanelabraham9046 first of all was the steering controls working before . My friends one intermittent so I had to take them out and clean them using contact spray. Not hard to do check CZcams there’s two other options . One is try different canbus config files for Ford cars on secret setting menu . The other ( I don’t know if this will work is to isolate the Two screening wheel canbus cables from Ford harness and attach them to the key 1 and key 2 on unit ( if it’s has them ) this effectly bypasses the canbus and you can try use the key learning app on unit . This is a shot in the dark as I I don’t know your unit but most android units have this .

Also how do you get this hidden menu as my steering controls work but my volume knob doesn't?
For original usb . The wiring should already be there for factory unit . Check video . To get into hidden menu will be under factory setting . It will be only menu you can’t get in without passcode
Btw ive seen a bunch of vids saying that if your head unit comes with a canbus you dont have to connect the reverse cam to the reverse lights
@@MAR23-m8y you connect to reverse light for power . Eg you only want to power on camera when in reverse, otherwise it will be on all the time . If you power from head unit you can possibly use reverse pink wire to see if it gives 12v when in reverse only
@@ishanperusinghe That makes sense, the manual that came with the camera tells me to power via the pink cable as well as connect it to the reverse lights, a bit confusing.
Hi think I may have solved the key problem and the kph on the install the seller told me to connect every plug so I connected the plug from the old radio display as soon as I removed that the central locking came back the kph reverted to mph and the unit shuts down with the key and starts as well hope this helps the others with the same problem

@@duncanmandela62 hi when I connected the head unit I connected the smaller black plug from the display that you remove to the head unit when I disconnected it the central locking works and it's back to mph

Yes I did . I took the whole cd unit out as it is bypassed by the new stereo
I also bought similar headunit, but frame didn't fit. mine is 2017 fiesta model in USA. the frame panel hooks in the back are at different slot that originial one. and also at the front side my original radio frame has one hook at the middle but this one has 2 hooks on the side and middle one is very smaller than the original. So seems like this kit is not universal to 2017 models as advertised by sellers.
Ok but is the shape the same . As in if you made the holes would it still be flush as you only need holes for tree clips
@ishanperusinghe possible for the back clips. there is the metal piece at the place where the front clips are supposed to go. Only way would be cutting the front clips and attaching magnetic tape on the frame. I haven't tried that one and don't know how much secure that would be.
great install, i have a 2016 fiesta st3 and would like this set up including the reverse camera, if i brought my car to you how much would you want and could you install it all in a full day?
Sorry mate I don’t do installs as a job I just did this as a favour for a friend . I have videos for both the reverse cam install and stereo install . As a novice if you follow video I would budget 3-4 hours for reverse cam . Stereo install can be done in 1-2 hours
Fantastic video well impressed. So much so we ordered everything from your links and it arrived today. Only think is the unit is a little different and were struggling to get the nav working it sees satellites but Waze and Google maps don't work. Also steering controls won't register when setting them up. It's a 2012 fiesta pre face lift. Any helpmuch appreciated
For google and Waze if using on the android interface make sure apps up to date and connected to internet. For steering controls check you are connected to internet and go to hidden menu and make sure correct canbus is selected the brand of canbus box should be on the little red box . Try Ford simple or Ford transit

I’m in the UK aswell, I have brought from a different seller but I think it’s just a generic connection cable with these units, mine only came with pack A so I got pack B sent over but they didn’t include this cable. Connection looks the same as it needs to be for my unit

Its how you want it to operate. As the canbus does the switching on the unit. Its about how you want to power. If you want it powered only in reverse then you need reverse light. If you want it for DVR also then you can wire to permanent live.

Did you check you have selected correct canbus in hidden menu . Was the steering remote working before with old . I’d not you might need to clean contacts . Otherwise you have wrong canbus selected
my car already has Digital radio do I need to buy the antenna like you did?
No you don’t need antenna you just need the usb dab dongle . And a packs adaptor to marry the connection from dongle aerial input and oem fakra connection. Have a look on Amazon for adapters
very nice video, question, When i changed the stereo, now the center dash console where the ok bottom, and the numbers are the light seems to be not working, i wonder if you have any idea why?

Check you haven’t dislodged any cables . Stereo shouldn’t affect the lighting . Make sure canbus and stereo firmware on latest and try different Ford canbus settings
Hi Ish, does the replaced head-unit disrupt the electricity? I heard Ford known for electrical problems. Quite worry to install android lcd on my fiesta focus.

It’s in video . But to be sure you need to take off stereo it’s hard to tell from front or ask seller to send both . Tell him you came from CZcams video .

I consider to buy this T10 for my Ford Fiesta 2017. I mentioned the original car radio has settings like side mirror flipping in and out. Enable or disable inside lights. That kind of things
After installation with T10 does this stil work?
How about cd player? Cd player is less important but car settings to me it can be a deal breaker.
Then i was wondering does your steering wheel and panel control still works? Left- right-up-down- ok- info buttons.
The original Mic for handsfree calling a be used or must be replaced? Voice control still works after installation?

1) not sure my car doesn’t have . Ask seller there lots of canbus setting that my car doesn’t have
2) no cd player as you take that unit out .
3) steering controls work if you select correct canbus on menu
4)Ford voice probably won’t work . But carplay android auto voice will work . Call accept / reject work with Bluetooth on steering controls . But it’s through the android unit mic and system which isn’t as good as Ford so you need to compromise there . I would ask some others on here that have previously bought what they think .

Can’t quite remember but you can use a tap fuse and find a switched live in fuse box . Or possibly test the antenna power from new stereo ( blue wire ) to see if you get 12v

I would try Ford transit or simple. But you can try all variation listed . Come back with which works
It changed my car to kmh from mph and idea how to change back and my mirrors don't close when locked what factory setting u use I selected basic fiesta 2011

Hey man, i had an aliexpress heaudnit installed in my 2013 Mazda 3 and what i noticed is that the unit started getting really really hot. It was a 5G, 8gb ram and 128gb storage unit so i assume that power caused it to get hot. However, there was the same unit with a cooling fan option and im considering getting it and returnijg the original. Is it normal for a headunit to get hot and is it safe for the cables and stuff behind the unit? Could it catch fire?
Unit should not get hot . Maybe warm to touch but not hot . It’s basicly a tablet . Need to see what’s getting hot . Is it screen . Or body of unit

Hi just fitted TS7 head unit and my mileage etc (screen between rev and speedo) are. Ow in Kilometres can you help, I’ve gone into Theme and places into miles but this has not affected the mileage etc
Have you read the comments few people mentioned this . Solution varies from low battery to changing car info app. If none work then you can try change canbus config to another Ford car . That’s the only thing that can affect the millage possibly. If that doesn’t work ask manufacturer. Report back if you fix so solution can help others

Did you get same stereo ? If so you need to go into the factory menu and select correct canbus . It’s should be same as mine or simple . Also before doing this please connect unit to internet via WiFi. Check 20.04 in video

You mean the steering controls on the wheel . This means you don’t have canbus setup properly ( Redbox ) you need to connect to internet first , go into hidden factory menu . And select correct vehical etc . A bit of trial and error .

My ford fiesta mk7 has tire pressure sensors and the quadrant errors appear on the small viro of the original radio. If I switch to this radio, will all this continue to appear or will I lose functions?

There was a menu to show tyre pressure etc not sure if it’s covered in video , door open etc . Not sure if this works or not as I don’t have and I turned off settings to pop ups . It’s all about selecting right canbus in hidden menu as signal is decoded and outputted to stereo . The tyre pressure should also show on driver dash if not showing on stereo . Not sure about quadrant error . Ask manufacturer send screenshots to help. This stereo isn’t perfect there will be some give and take on oem functionality

Did you get the systeem en do the tpms sensors work?
I’ve found the EQ settings and “no reverse camera” setting fine whilst using the device, but it doesn’t save the settings to apple CarPlay/Tlink so I get a blank screen when I put it in reverse and my audio sounds weak using CarPlay. Any suggestions?? Many thanks!! This is a very well put together video
Have you tried the hidden menu . You can adjust volume controls in there I belive. It’s in the factory setting menu and requires code . If same as mine will be same code but contact manufacturer if different. Have you put tlink as nav options if so don’t use as a nav in system settings
Hey mate great vid! One question does the carplay update with new versions of IOS?
It should still continue to work with iOS updates .but that’s the main problem with zlink and Tlink it’s app version is built to the android os of the headunit and doesn’t update . The better way to do it is maybe buy without zlink Tlink and get a Carlinkit usb dongle that does wired and wireless carplay and android auto . I have one of those on my Range Rover evoque with android unit and they constantly update both the app and firmware of dongle for bugs and new releases of iOS . I have had that installed since 2019 and it’s the main thing I use on that infotainment system . However manufacturer says t link is more stable than zlink which was really buggy

@@JD-29 T link is what comes with this stereo for carplay and is newer version of z link I believe. Carlinkit dongle is what I recommend . You need to have android headunit like the one reviewed for it to work. But it’s just a dongle you connect to usb of stereo and apk to install . Works great

I installed the same stereo into my Ford fiesta 2013, the only issue I encountered was that the odometer was changed to km/hr instead of mph. Any idea how I could get this to change back or what I could do in settings. I couldn’t find anything for the units on settings…
Couple of things . If the stereo caused the change then make sure you have all software updates done to unit and in factory menu there isn’t something set to Km/hr . Also the stereo really shouldn’t affect odometer setting as it’s a separate ecu . Check this article

I had the same issue, my car battery died when spending a while to configure settings, after jump start, dashboard units all changed to km from miles

Double check as B is an extension of A cables . Eg one extra from memory. Message seller with pictures . Hi Ish, i realised I have a different unit to yours but is similar its called EKIY. My miles have to km and my fiesta wing mirrors dont fold on locking too. Would you have any advice or experienced something similar this? Thanks
No sorry . Speak to manufacturer have connected the unit to hotspot and tried all software updates . Could be a dodgy canbus decoder too ( red box ) you can try disconnecting that and trying. To isolate problem

Yep was able to change km to miles on an app installed on there called car info. But not the mirrors not folding, manufacturer said he will have to ask engineer and get an update sent
@JD-29 hi just an update I have had my unit installed for over month. My power mirrors did not work so went back and forward. In end they said they could not make them work did u get any joy

Keys stopped working shouldn’t be issue with stereo . No key stuff goes through stereo . You might have pulled out an aerial or blown a fuse. For album art it’s down to factory player if it doesn’t support album art then you don’t have . Also can’t comment on other stereos only one I installed

Yeah they still work . Not very useful though since it’s touch screen and you can do most of volume controls from steering controls

I looked at canbus settings, none of them make the normal radio panel work. I'm getting open door message now, so thats fine. But my mirrors wont close automaticly while locking the car. I cant find that setting anywhere.

Hi mine worked with simple transit I believe. For antenna the link is In description . Was stereo from same seller if so I believe you can update the canbus with new protocols if connected to internet . Also check the hidden menu items and car setting for folding mirrors . My friends didn’t have folding mirrors

It is big and a a little distracting at first but you will get used to it

No my car didn’t have that option . Best to speak to manufacture if there isn’t a physical button to turn off in you car

I don’t think so . It only allows for ac controls and door open sensors from what I could see . It’s also very annoying seeing these pop ups so I disabled in menu

So what’s happened it’s because I’ve pulled the battery before I installed so there was no way I’d blow anything so I’m thinking I need to change the settings for the car in order for it to allow me to then set my mirrors back to folding in and out when locked or unlocked I’ll try and figure it out and let you know 👍

@@ishanperusinghe I've got the same car in this video and I tried setting it to a Fiesta 09-13 and even the mondeo before 2013 and both times I don'y get a response from the steering wheel controls. @@jodrin9 try Ford transit simple . If not then the Redbox ( canbus decoder ) maybe faulty . Make sure u picking the correct brand also of canbus. Was the steering remote working before . Mine wasn’t had to take apart and clean as the Ford fiesta steering controls contacts get dirty
I’m have just had This unit or very similar android- can’t get my steering wheel buttons to work and it seems to have an impact on my AC. Do you have any advice?
For steering wheel control . Connect unit to internet and go to factory setting as change car brand and canbus . It’s around 20.04 min in video . For fiesta it should be set to simple canbus . This may fix ac controls also . You can disable pop ups on screen via on the setting also

@@mikeymcgrath3337 I’m not a expert but you could try setting to fiesta / Ford transit and set canbus to simple . Please report back for others if it worked or not
@@ishanperusinghe I have tried setting it to them. Other providers that are not rise and it doesn’t seem to make any difference in the settings but I might try setting it to a different Ford car and see what happens. I will report back here to support anyone else I get to the unit
@@mikeymcgrath3337 any luck fixing this? I just got my radio connected, it works, but the center column doesn't respond, doesn't even light up. The same with steering wheel controls. But the radio detects that the door is open. Strange.

Hi Ish, sorry to trouble you again, i have seen another screen similar to the one i have just sent back, only problem it is on Android 10, cab you update the system to Android 12 ?

No you cannot upgrade. I can only advise on the one I purchased . Each manufacturer customises android version slightly differently. I would go for android 11 and above personally. More than unit seller is more important incase of issue
Only way to upgrade is via custom rom but would not advice unless you understand how to do correctly and also you won’t get manufacture support once you do .

Do you still have the option for ford sync?
Not sure what you mean . It replace the original stereo completely. The whole factory cd unit is replaced/ bypassed . It will work with the cars canbus eg you can have a graphic come up saying door is open etc . But I turned off .other oem features like parking cameras Etc should be supported as per sellers page .

Answered below . It’s hard to say due to your height and driving position . I would say it covers more Bonet in my vision and 5,8. It’s probably a few inches taller than the sat nav Ford sync

No not really . My friend was worried about the same but it’s fine . It covers the bonnet area more

Na man . They all uses the audio connections from main harness . Also it’s 2023 so is there a need for cd player . Once you make swap to ou won’t car about cds anymore put all your music on flash drive

Your best bet is email seller . Im not a distributor of the unit . I just put reviews to help others . Cruise will be uneffected and I believe the Sony unit is also compatible. Some one in comments has already said

Basically everything is plugged in but the CarPlay won’t turn on, but it’s charging, the USB works, and when you turn on the car you’ll see the screen coming on then goes off and won’t do anything. You can upload the video and put link here . But the carplay works via the units Bluetooth . Once it’s connected to Bluetooth you will get message on phone to enable carplay. Remember I can’t only comment on this unit. Also make sure unit is up to date
Digging deep looks like it won’t turn on if red and yellow wire are not connected together, is this a good idea ? To connecte these two cables?
@@emmanuelrusaka the harness should be plug and play . Try disconnecting the canbus decoder ( Redbox ) and see if screen stays on . If it does then canbus decoder box faulty . Is unit from same seller as mine . Next will be to speak to selller
