@@MohammedAbuRahat you connect to reverse light for power . Eg you only want to power on camera when in reverse, otherwise it will be on all the time . If you power from head unit you can possibly use reverse pink wire to see if it gives 12v when in reverse only

@@ishanperusinghe That makes sense, the manual that came with the camera tells me to power via the pink cable as well as connect it to the reverse lights, a bit confusing.

@@Charlie-u8v when u put in reverse is screen switching or does it stay as it . In which case you need go into system setting and tell unit there is a camera . If you getting black screen then issue with camera signal or power or camera feed freq ( ntsc, pal , ahd) there is setting for that also

The screen is just staying the same (home screen). I've tried going through every setting I can see but I just can't find anything to get it going

@@Charlie-u8v it’s the hidden menu with passcode probably . Need to speak to seller. Do you have canbus decoder . If not there is a reverse wire you might need to have power to that so stereo knows it’s in reverse . Can’t be sure

Yeah I've spoken to seller but they haven't been much help, it does have canbus. It's android 13 so has different menu layout to what I've seen on yours? Will try look on the menu with pass key. Anything specific on there I should look for?

@@Charlie-u8v reverse camera on / off . It could be canbus decoder faulty check steering controls working and correct canbus profiles

Each manufacturer will have code . If same as mine will be the one in video . If not u need to got seller

Check power to camera if that’s not working . The single from camera needs to match which is on stereo . Ahd or ccbs

i used a multimeter to check all the connections and that i have power on the 12V line when i put my car in reverse and everything checks out. I REALLY DONT KNOW WHYT ITS NOT WORTKING :(

Depends on the units video input . There’s different types AHD Cvbs . You might want to check you android head unit setting to match the input video signal

Ok but is the shape the same . As in if you made the holes would it still be flush as you only need holes for tree clips

@ishanperusinghe possible for the back clips. there is the metal piece at the place where the front clips are supposed to go. Only way would be cutting the front clips and attaching magnetic tape on the frame. I haven't tried that one and don't know how much secure that would be.

Its how you want it to operate. As the canbus does the switching on the unit. Its about how you want to power. If you want it powered only in reverse then you need reverse light. If you want it for DVR also then you can wire to permanent live.

Did you buy from same seller as me . If so they would have asked you which type of stereo you had and hence the cables

Yeah you can reach . Might need to lean a little forward but as mentioned. If u got steering control working your fine

I think rlink is just Renault operating System for there radios . Like sync is for Ford . What they are saying is probably not compatible is that’s the harness is not plug and play . Some modern systems also use optical connectors to factory amp and also connected to CAN as stero can show car info like service history etc . You could probably still fit but will be more manual work and splicing cables etc

It is big and a a little distracting at first but you will get used to it

To be honest I have installed a few of these for friends and myself . The ones with carplay and android auto built in they don’t seem to update the app at all . Where if u buy a model without you can use Carlinkit dongle which is both andoird auto and carplay wireless . They also update the firmware and app constantly to keep up with changes .

@@michelpols92 I would say same one as you need 4gb ram minimum. But you can buy dongle separately to add . Message the seller and ask them what’s best option for wireless android auto . Mention separate dongle

Was same on old evoque too . Engineering is very lazy on evoque and while I understand it on the mark one . They should not have applied lessons learned to the mark two

@@FallenCorp yeah you can see carplay in video which is iPhone. I also have an iPhone which is what u see in video

Ah@@ishanperusinghe Ahh I see, I'm using a Garmin 65. So I presume it wouldn't be an issue

@@FallenCorp yeah so the unit has its own gps software and you can download what u want from play store, tomtom, garmin app etc. But you can also use carplay and android auto for navigation which I prefer as it has live traffic .

It’s in the video . You need to connect the power for reverse light to reverse bulb on car . This is so it’s only powered when car is is reverse and not all the time

Anywhere under dash . If you have heated windscreen it needs to be in corners near A piller
