You know you're dead the moment that "clock" on qrows weapon starts ticking.
Tik tok motherfucker. Your life's about to end
He’s not tock bro😭
its a qlock and it goes tiqing, tiq taq tiq taq
I love how, since bad luck is literally his semblance, he's probably more skilled than almost any other hunter or huntress
I'm p sure he's one of the most famous and renowned huntsman in all of remnant- remember jeaunes sister recognized him I think as a bigshot
Well most the time his skill over runs his bad luck. It only effects small things because of this.
@@juliaithinal4835 that's what I mean, he had to become so skilled as to cancel out the deadly bad luck, he was forced to face worse events than most huntsman because of his poor luck, and only survived because of skill beyond that of your normal huntsman
@@bronycrafter1526 he also said he has a small degree of control- that sometimes it can affect other people too. That's literally why he usually lives alone. Thats not to invalidate his own struggles tho- that's all very true. However I think its disingenuous to the character to say he has no control.
@@seanm338 you make a good point
"qrow, this isnt my doing!" yet...
Lol,I see what you did there
LOOOLLLL
Hes an ass but badasss
this aged well
😆
Let's acknowledge that Qrow, the person who taught Ruby to use her scythe, and is well known for being the only scythe user of the era aside from Ruby, has 2 minutes of actually using said scythe out of 8 volumes. But also going off that, if he's so good with the sword that he doesn't often need the scythe, Qrow switching to the scythe must terrify anyone who goes against it.
Don’t forget Maria Calavera
@@KuroYHime That's why he said of the era, Qrow based his weapon off of Maria, implying he was 13-14 at the time she was in her prime
For Qrow's new voice makes him sound like he sobered up and started drinking water, rather than his hoarse, raspy voice from years of drinking. 🤣
That makes actual sense. Good headcanon.
Agree, her voice more light than before same like Ren too
@@dexie135 Ren’s voice changing wasn’t exactly ideal, Monty Oum (Ren’s original VA) had died and they replaced his voice with his brother Neath
Damn I didn't even notice Ren's voice change! (wasn't aware Monty was voicing him, obviously)
@@silvershadow9967 but i like ren voice by neath, for me mounty voice feel to deep for ren..but they both good
Even Ironwood doesn't want to face Qrow in a fight. Not just because of his weapon but because of Qrow's skill.
Someone with a semblance that manipulates probability must have skills to survive.
he did that because he was proving he wasn't a threat by putting down his weapon
Yet the heroic Ironwood would rather fight a scythe wielder via pistol whips than shoot his potentially turned friend. Brothers bless James and all he did for Remnant. 😔 RIP in peace
We don’t see Scythe Qrow nearly enough!
I think his scythe is more for hunting Grimm than combat
@@enriquepowers Its actually used for a lot who knows maybe Qrow fought people off cut and before Ruby was born
@Yo Momma off screen I meant
I feel like it’s because CRWBY can’t find a good way to use it and just have him just use it in sword form. Which you can or can’t blame them when knowing that like a majority of characters are brawlers or sword users, so they probably thought that since Crow’s scythe is also a sword they might as well just leave it as a sword.
Ever wonder of Qrow looks back at the moment in that first clip and just thinks, "I could have saved us a lot of trouble..."
probably would've made things worse at that point. Then the countries would actually have gone to war
But Team RWBY wasn’t in the first clip. Unless you’re implying Qrow’s an idiot who’d have considered murdering a colleague for no reason. Hell if he did that Yang would still be walking around with a stump arm, Weiss would have probably been arrested for murdering someone at the fundraiser, Penny Mk2 wouldn’t have been funded, and Ruby would have gotten kidnapped by Tyrian after every other noble Atlesian soldier watched a drunk psycho murder their general during a terrorist attack from an unknown enemy force.
That little sequence at 0:59 really cements that Qrow is a legend, really put sinto perspective what the average huntsman or huntress must be like and how Ruby has been trained by the best, there's a reason she's a prodigy, the two of them are probably the most talent scythe weilders of their generation, easily.
0:53 this is actually a really good detail. Qrow is spinning perfectly straight ,but ruby is tilting ever so slightly as she's spinning. Shows there different levels of skill perfectly. And anybody who's seen the shorts knows ruby is most likely the best on the team. In terms of pure skill with her weapon (weiss maybe better 🤔) . Point being she dosen't just swing cresent around to look pretty. Really shows qrows skill and he trained ruby so that makes it better
RWBY's weapon is canonically heavier and she has less muscle mass. Doesn't really matter, just pointing it out.
@@snakeslife-uroborodjinn790Still, the fact that she managed that spinning, albeit a little awkwardly, is impressive in itself.
Also, one thing I've noticed, Qrow swings upward, while Ruby swings downward. That's bound to make a difference
that is an awesome detail that i haven't noticed before, that's really cool!
1:02 can we just talk about how fast his scythe changes forms unlike rubys
Probably a bit easier for a scythe to turn into a sword than a sniper.
Who knows though lmao
He just punched a grim. Goat
Qrow is so skillful that he sometimes punches using his barefist 1:02
I FORGOT ABOUT THE LIQUID SEX THAT IS THE SCENE AT 1:00 THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME
the what?
@@exynth1a215 did I stutter
They went in raw no rubber with that animation
That one is some serious Devil May Cry inspired shit. With a sprinkle of Gothic 2 (main character's combo with one handed sword also included fist strikes).
@@exynth1a215 It's an oral sex spray, dunno why he put that as desciption tho lol
The scene where they fight on the train is one of my favorite scenes of Qrow fighting because up till that point Ruby and Qrow's fighting styles didn't seem to have a lot in common despite Qrow being Ruby's teacher.
Makes sense tho. Qrow is a heavy fighter, ruby isn't. Ruby relies on her semblance to get momentum and to be aggressive, qrow just straight up swaps between forms, punches if needed. Also there's the gap in experience.
Mind you they are both absolute whirlwinds of death, they just apply said whirlwind differently.
I wish we could've seen a Qrow vs. Ironwood fight in V8. I would've LOVED that.
0:08 just noticed ironwood’s arm looks like the halo Spartan armor
God I remembered when they showed us 1:00 at NYCC and I was SO. HYPED to watch Qrow fight. The spin at 1:03. Whew, good stuff.
0:54 qrow contro > ruby control
These details really make the show more awesome than it seems
Qrow attacks: goes for the grimm instead of ironwood.
Me: ...
Also me:
You missed! How could you miss?!?!?!?!
He was 3 feet in front if you!!!!!!!!!
All this nonsense in the newer volumes could have been avoided if Qrow didn't miss. Lmao! 😂👌
@@laceyoakes2640Or if Team RWBY wasn’t a bunch of backstabbing hypocrits.
Possibly fired the sawed-off from his hilt to get the added momentum for that first strike
I wish Ruby’s scythe choreography was as good as Qrow’s, like I know her style is more “launch myself around with the gun part” but still, it always feels really weightless watching her fight in volume 7 and 8
I think it makes sense theirs is so different qrow still has decades of skill over ruby and I dont think she fully tries to copy him either as you said her style is the gun propelling her that style fits her more even if it appears sloppy since her power is speed
@@Monsterbaane yeah, but I just think, especially in this current animation style (not necessarily because of the engine) movement and combat seem really binary. Like ruby is either going fast or slashing, never both, but then you see stuff like qrow twirling his scythe in a flourish, throwing his sword and kicking it mid-air and I just think, “damn, I wish ruby fought more fluidly”
What i wish for ruby is...i hope she utilize her semblance more into combat like the way blake did...like in character intro in V4
Broo i hope you've seen volume 9
Kinda ironic when you watch the part at 0:50 you can hear Qrow shooting to gain speed, and his circles are straight on, whereas ruby doesn’t shoot and is spinning wildly.
Qrow is straight up a devil may cry character
Kinda funny cause Dante also weilds a Sword Scythe Weapon in Devil Sword Sparda (Also the Guitar Scythe Demoness Nevan)
Me: Not Bad, Bird Boy...
*Pulls Out a Pair of Fire Dust Infused Wolverine Style Claws*
Me: MY TURN!
I like how ironwood wasn't going to try anything potentially lethal when he thought Qrow was going to attack him. Also Harbingers scyth form used to have weight behind it probably one of my favorite weapons in the series.
I looooove the way Qrow fights it’s so fun to watch
0:37 He knows how to do a real stinger!
Man is so OP that they nerfed him by giving him Bad luck as a Semblance
I’ve honestly only seen Qrow use his weapon in its sword form, this is the first time I saw him use it as a scythe
Yeah, give him his beard back pls
Rewatching the first clip I really wish Qrow would have not believed Ironwood and really thought he conspirated against the academy and the city. Could have introduced a pretty good character conflict. Though thinking again, I don't think there is a strong reason for Qrow to think that way, so yeah.
Well Qrow’s not an idiot. He just tends to save stupid people.
Oh my oh my oh my! The first clip always gives me hype!
1:17 for honnor part
Ruby's uncle? More like a dad to me.
Qrow pulls out scythe alot of people crap there pants
I really wish we could have seen Monte animate Qrow's scythe.
Does all the budget go into his scythe?
All of RWBYs budget goes to fights and Music
all of qrow's budget went to harbinger at first, then went to whiskey
クロウの戦闘シーン マジカッコよすぎる…
Qrow attack grimm than IW
IW : and i took that personally
Still miss Voice old qrow badass uncle
Sword scythe gun
Also there people fighting each other at the same time is cool
Amazing
Its a gun,a sword,a scythe.
I completely forgot Ironwood's half was robot
“That’s why he’s so inhuman and evil.” Just ignore that Yang and Maria and Pietro have prosthetics and Penny is a full robot…
The last bit bugs me. Qrow knows Tyrion is a menace, is insane, and likely murders puppies as a hobby... So why on earth would he team up with him for any reason? Sure Clover wants to arrest him, and that is a conflict that will need resolution, but at that moment it's Tyrion, puppy murderer, or Clover, an officer who is a good guy just following bad orders... You team up with Clover to put Tyrion out of his misery, then worry about Clover.
In the director’s commentary for Volume 7 they say that one thing they wish they’d shown better was that Clover wouldn’t stop attacking Qrow. This is why Qrow has the line in Vol 8 about how Clover “just wouldn’t let up”.
The intention of the scene is that Qrow wanted to team up against Tyrion but Clover kept attacking Qrow because Clover knows how good Qrow is and underestimates Tyrion. Because Qrow thinks he can take out Tyrian on his own he decided to take Clover out of the picture as soon as possible.
Qrow made a ceasefire with Tyrian because Clover wouldn’t stop attacking Qrow and Qrow saw no other way forward
@@typhonyx_was_taken even if that's true you don't put a ceasefire with the puppy murderer extraordinaire. But that just puts Clover's idiocy in the limelight of you have someone who you certainly be reasonable with vs someone who you should also know would happily eat your family.
Clover is also fucking stupid for not prioritizing the psycho who just crashed their plane in the tundra. Fuck Clover, he was too stupid to live anyways.
What about the Qrow, Robin and Clover vs Tyrian scene?
This video is only for full transformations
@@typhonyx_was_taken ah ok. It’s just that fight had another form, so I thought it was relevant.
@@firstnamelastname8006 he used his scythe as a tonfa in that scene
I actually forgot that was Ironwood-
Harbinger look like a really good weapon
I love ittt
Anyone else thinks Qrow sounds like Dabi when he's fighting Tyrian?
now i discover
Voice actors change in RWBY? I never noticed that
I miss when Qrow was badass and didn't get taken out so easily in fights
He’s won all his fights for three seasons
@@typhonyx_was_taken don;t you know? people never care about the good...they only look at the bad...that's makes a critic
@@eren34558Shame there’s just so much bad to look at lmao
Vic is the best as Qrow
Its kinda reminds me of a combination between Ragna The Bloodedge's Bloodscythe and Cloud Strife's Fusion Sword
1:32 не знаю почему, но это напомнило мне сцену из вторых пиратов.Где они тоже втроём сражались
1:51 I am fairly sure Qrow Wouls havr continued top fight Tyrian if Clover didn't do that
Qrow the ultimate bad as lol
The spin at 1:00 is so fucking cool
Qrow: _penetrates enemy_
Enemy: *magically splits in half*
And all other scythe users also happen to have this unrealistic feature
The actual realistic way to slice someone with an scythe is by swinging and pulling at the same time thus making decapitation
what are some other good anime with fights
I think if qrow and bennett ever met they would have ultimate bad luck
Yes Qrow is BAMF but more scythe scenes would be nice rooster teeth.
Honestly, Qrows scythe was the most disappointing thing in RWBY for me.
The build up we got, and all he did was kill a Griffin, when he could've just used his sword, shot it, or just said "hey there's a Griffin like, 30 feet behind you."
WHY THE FUCK DOES CLOVER TARGET QROW FIRST
you forgot about when he fought tyrian
This video is only for full transformations. Partials forms like his Vol 4 Tyrian fight and the alley fight in Vol 7 didn’t really feel like a “scythe”
*Lot simpler if you ask me*
I wonder how crow is gana feel about yang's.... Death?
Bad
You mean RWBY death
0:59
Tbh they should’ve just made the scythe his main weapon I get that takes away from Ruby’s uniqueness but it’s still there non the less.
Make ruby or blake please...
Funny enough I dislike crow's weapon. As his semblance is bad luck, and anyone knows the more moving parts, the more likely the system is to fail. Especially with open gears. Granted it's cute that rwby likes crow's weapon but should of stayed purely her creation or made it a heirloom from her mother.
I do forget if crow's semblance works purely on others or also him self.
It's only to others I think opposite to Clovers as his brings good luck to himself
I love Harbinger because in Scythe and Greatsword form it looks like a real weapon but despise Crescent Rose because it looks so blocky and looks far too heavy
Big mistake
