That's awesome Scott, it's interesting to see some of the tools of the trade. I have those exact same green snips they work a treat. I work at a wholesale nursery where most of us own nice felco secateurs but for the majority of jobs you'll see us reaching for the snips.
I would recommend one where the tip is about 30cm from the ground if you hold it in your hand and point it down, I find the best size is one that is related to the user, much like golf clubs
