6 points to ensure accuracy of the ProCheck test-
1. 200ml WATER- Whey Shake should be prepared in 200ml water with 1 serving of the supplement you are testing- vigorously shake the shaker for at least 30 secs to ensure proper mixing.
2. ZERO FOAMING- Please wait patiently for the foaming to settle completely- whether it takes 1 min or 10mins. There should be Zero Foaming before you start to pour the shake into the testing solution.
3. 35ml TESTING SOLUTION- pour out exactly 35ml Testing Solution from the Glass Vial into the tube (tube has the 35ml mark)
4. 10ml SHAKE- Swirl the whey shake a little (after foaming has settled) & then pour EXACTLY 10ml above the 35ml Testing solution in the Test Tube. Total fill level will become 35 + 10 = 45ml
5. SHAKE AGAIN TO REMOVE PRECIPITATION ON TOP OF TUBE- After 1-2 hours, in case you observe some curdling/ precipitate still floating on top of the testing solution, just SHAKE THE TUBE AGAIN to dissolve it into the Testing Solution & keep it back.
(applicable in case the supplement does contain Whey- i.e. not FAKE)
6. 24 HOURS- Please wait for full 24 hours before checking Protein % basis precipitation in tube

Just a query please if you can clear.. what makes the precepitation settle down and not fall even it is inverted... Gravity seems to fail here...
One query, the tutorial says 200ml water and 1 serving/1scoop of whey protein. But different brands mention different weight for their serving size. Some are 30gm, 33gm, 36gm etc. so should we keep the weight/grams of whey same for all the brands or do we have to take one serving for 200ml water even if the weights are different for serving sizes of different brands??? I’m asking this because different weights will mean different concentration.
@@ketley2aug serving size of each brand/ product is different - but we are measuring Protein % here, not Protein grammage (per scoop). Therefore, the difference of scoop size does not matter.
What matters is-
1. preparing shake in 200ml (same amount of) water for all brands
2. waiting for as long as it takes for the foaming to settle down in shaker (be it 1 minute or 10 minutes) - before pouring 10ml over the 35ml test solution
3. in case after shaking with test solution, precipitation is forming at the top of tube - shake vigorously again & place the tube back (so that all precipitate must settle at bottom of tube only)
@@amitchaudhary_jaat if you invert the tube very roughly or with jerk, the precipitate in any tube will fall down. But if you invert smoothly /softly - the tube containing Whey protein has coagulation sticking as the post-reaction Whey molecules have bound themselves together + friction with the tube's inner surface
@@Muscleblaze so does this mean that the amount of precipitate that is formed in 18-24 hours, tells the percentage of protein present in that scoop. If I take half a scoop in 200ml water, the test will show half (50%) amount of precipitate. And accordingly we can conclude % of protein available in that brand. Right ???

SImple Whey Protein home test :
As per various experiments available on internet ,You can very easily check if your supplement is atleast whey protein or not.
Step 1: Boil Water 250-300ml water
Step 2: add 1 scoop of whey protein to transparent glass ,then pour hot water over it & mix for 5 to 15 seconds with spoon.
If the powder starts coagulating-starts forming big clumps with very low mixability which is actually what happens when freeze-dried or hydrolyzed whey powder(water to solid form) tend to stick together.
-->Protien powder is atleast whey protien but may have adulterants if there are some settled powder at the bottom.
Now this will atleast tell you that your protein powder is not melamine powder which is semi soluble in water and a lot of melamine gets settled on the bottom of the cup. By this method you will atleast avoid melamine supplement.
-->No lumps or coagulation means you have melamine or some other powder.
If it mixes very easily with boiling hot water then it is some milk powder with emulsifiers.

ii. In case you refer to FSSAI's official daily consumption limits of Heavy Metals (available online)-
Cadmium upto 1.5mg per kg of the product is safe/permissible.
Considering COA that you are viewing (2.26ug per 36g serving), that Cd value converts to 63.3μg per kg of the product i.e. just 0.0633mg per kg of the product!!
