What a very interesting video. We are going to convert our garage as soon as I can empty it. I have learnt lots just watching you guys. I’ll be getting the professionals to do the work for us. Thank you.
Glad it is of some help, hope your project goes well, many thanks for watching 👍👏
The finished product looks fantastic! Enjoyed seeing you do a bit of joinery 👍😄 door closes lovely mate😉👌👌 Hope you and your mate are both well! Enjoy your weekend buddy 🍻😄
Cheers Izzy, love it when the door clicks like that, it’s took us years to get the hang of it 😀, you really are getting through some work your self, keep it up, thanks for watching 👍👍 that’s old boy style

Old boy style 😃👍 thanks for watching
Great content boys,fantastic channel.
Many thanks for watching Richard, 👍👍
Quality work fellas! Any chance of a rough estimate what a conversion like that would cost?
Excelente trabajo 👌👌 saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱🧱🏠
🙏👍👍👍
You old boys are strange old boys , but you do know your stuff, that old plasterer however old is he, do you recruit from the old people home, 😂
Great work chaps
The good old days - breathing in all that Silica Dust. Great for the lungs.
Proper old school, cheers for watching 👍👍😃
Looks great and very professional. Can I ask how you would deal with a single skin external brick wall when converting a garage? Some sort of water proofing inside before the stud work?
That’s a tricky one without seeing it, probably studwork with a space between the outer skin, dpc under the studwork bass plate, breathable membrane before you plasterboard, but it is down to looking at the job , and your own personal preference, many thanks for watching 👍👍
Proper old norwich boys
That’s right boy, many thanks for watching 👍👍
Nice work. Do you need building control sign-off etc with something like this?
You sure do they want money 👎 thanks for watching 👍
I am looking to convert the garage into a living room. How much will it cost ?
I take it this is not for habitation ,hence no regs.
how much will it set me back to have you boys come and do this for me? I have the same internal garage, i even want a personnel door on the right to lead from my hall the same as you've done here. but i dont need the stud work doing, i can do all that stuff. let me know Budd, great work!
Many thanks for the offer , but we just couldn’t fit it in , really appreciate you watching the video, 👍👍👊👏
The wall ypur putting a door in, Is that a supporting wall or not?
Does the door not have to by fire resistant door ?
Was the ceiling height already correct height for building regs, or did you dig down to make it right?
😂😂😂 I don't think there were any building regs involved!!, hence lack of insulation, damp transference mitigation, concrete poured over original floor, no pads under the lintel, mixed concrete and celcons in the footings, no lintel over the service in the footing🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
How much would something like that cost? total.. my garage is about the same size.
Door opens the wrong way into the room….
Next make a video how you rent it out for 1400£/ m
How are they going to get the car in the garage now?
With great difficulty 😃👍👍
realistically do we need any permission
I couldn’t call it I think it’s something you would have to talk to the planners about, but they always tell you to get permission so they can charge you a fee 🤷♂️
I need subtitles !
No eye protection, gloves or mask while cutting brickwork.
Yee har!
There is no stud work on the floor? No walls insulation ?
Clearly no Building Regs on that job 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@scoobydo2that's about right, there is no damp barrier between the inner and outer skin, no starter bars, or insulation in slab!!!, nor the walls!!!!
1:24 Is this an amateur or a pro?
How do you insulate against single block work? Does the outside need to be rendered?
Normally we put a stud wall up on the inside 👍
Brick work not tied in to the side of house ,does not look right if it was my house I would want the notched out at the sides to look natural and easy on the eye
nice work, aint nice video, dizzy to watch
