Kudos to Pharrell for putting on this interview. The last note where he acknowledges Koon's reactions to his compliments was itself an impressive act of humility which is unseen in most of his other videos. There's so much to learn from this video.

The truly sad thing about Koons is that, as arguably the most famous currently living artist, you'd expect something profound to come from him, at least one great thought.... yet after numerous interviews and even a lecture I was in attendance to, I've never heard anything come out of his mouth that was anything more than bumper-sticker philosophy.

Well, thats not how it works. Artists mos of the time mimic life. Historicly woman was a muse (also sexually) to develop aethetics. Artist bring this ideollogy, play with that and show it to your face. Maybe it is provocation, if u take it like that.

I do wish at times pharrell wasnt as knowledeable as he is in some of the topics, that way he would ask a lot more questions because half the time I don't know what the artists are talking about.

I like how Jeff is trying hard not to be affected by the naked women but speaks less focused afterwards. I also like everything he said, he is such an inspiration. I think Pharrell was a little to tendentious in summarizing Jeff, i prefer more questioning. I think these artists are amazing and i enjoyed wacthing this but it felt a little forced.

Ill b humble & admit that his intentions probably go above my head, his creativity is above my ‘pay grade’.....but at the same time, I cant help the feeling every time I hear Jeff Koons speak, he sound extremely insincere.....not real at heart, just very good with the explanation of modern art. So experienced in this world (of modern art) he is an ocean of smooth one-liners so to speak. Is it just me? Also, no one has so many ‘good’ ideas they need a crew of interns or employees to execute those projects. How can u have passion without process?? I would much rather see him make less art that he creates hands on, even if he needs assistance....but assisting his own work. Who am I?? Lol
Just my opinion & he seems to b doing just fine without it. Lol ✌🏻

I believe he is a capitalist, but he is also an artist. He is taking advantage of a system, and that great for him, since the system take advantage of us 99.99% of the time. Ideas are everywhere, he just have the financial means and the drive to make them physical, and transform them into his art. I'm not a fan of his work, and I don't buy it. But, he definitely has like 5-10% of interesting works going on, which is worth seeing

Shes in other episodes as well.....or maybe a different person, but same, a nude female with a very specific body shape. Yeah hes not simply representing the figure in art or he would not limit these models to a single gender & body. The fact he does is what sexualizes the experience. Seems like a cheap stunt. But most of Jeff Koons’s art, including his typical happy hour of modern art explanations, come across as cheap gimmicks....to me. Just my opinion & lets face it, he has found great success, so who am i??
