  • Jeff Koons is an artist best known for his iconic balloon animals, but lately, he's been trying a new and equally unexpected form of expression: Skateboards. He's turned them into coveted objects for buyers, and the money from selling them is donated to charitable funds for kids. CBS News' Anthony Mason has more.
"CBS Saturday Morning" co-hosts Jeff Glor, Michelle Miller and Dana Jacobson deliver two hours of original reporting and breaking news, as well as profiles of leading figures in culture and the arts. Watch "CBS Saturday Morning" at 7 a.m. ET on CBS and 8 a.m. ET on the CBS News app.

Both!!! I know plenty of skaters that collect art. The Nara series is sweet.

I’m sorry I am not an art expert … but I always understood that an artist… makes their art… not a team I know the great artist in the past had large projects with help but this person seems more like an advertising executive than an artist to me … just my opinion

If you choose to read this comment, steady yourself for impact. I may be a single, small voice in the world albeit, but I am not capable to just sit here in my thoughts, through brokenness with tears of anguish for what art is no longer.
The Koon or whatever person in this video...has the most hideous art I've seen presently. And, sure, it takes thought process to use others with a set of directions or a photograph to set up your supposed "own" created artwork (other artists have done this before), but you're basically using ghost artists like others do for writings.. Which is highly disgusting of someone who is supposed to have an actual PASSION (NOT a skill, NOT a talent) but a gift that is true and honest from the heart...Produced yet seen in colors with not just the eyes, but with the the sounds they may/may not create, the way humans and animals or their lifestyles interact with what the art piece is inclusive of or about, the weather, or any other factor that the individual artist or plethora of artists could require to fully express or exert themselves into a solidarity of a piece(s)....
It is deplorable to know this type of art exists and this is right up there with horrific ones like Andy Warhol. The only thing "artists" or people like the man in this video do is strip away and poke for who we are as humans, and look at the community who is all for it; who would spend millions on something so trivial, so insensitive, and taken right out the hands of others designs for that singular modern "artist" to earn recognition for their own damn benefit. No damn different than Hollywood productions.
Humans no longer think critically for themselves, like the Koon man in this video. Also, him using the word stimulation is NOT helping to hide the fact that he stumbled and had to literally process an overkilled, yet basic response by the interviewer asking about if he thinks his art could still improve. This "artist" is an egotistical posh snob. Try having a damn heart.

More fame, more pressure, more production, more people. How are these assistants getting NO credit?
