      @Dmetsys lol. This transmission has been stellar since it came out in 17'. A few issues during the first year, but overall it has been golden. Gm has the exact transmission in their vehicles. It was a joint venture between the two companies. Ford and Gm has this transmission in many, many different vehicles.

    While I have seen some people complaining about all the off road tech being added taking the fun out of off-roading, they don't consider the fact that you don't HAVE to use it all. That and as far as I'm concerned, it it making off-roading way more accessable to folks that otherwise wouldn't have done it and will feed more money into the off road companies that make the accessories for the "hard core off-roaders".

    When you guys accelerated, keep in mind the road was wet, and with traction control (if it was left on) it would automatically let off the power when it feels any kind of traction loss which could feel like lag. Not 100% sure that was it, it does have turbo chargers, but given the turbo chargers are small the lag shouldn't be that noticeable.

      The original Blazer was a full size truck more for road use, the original Bronco was a compact off road vehicle. So both are following their roots. Blazer was eventually re named Tahoe, and the S10 Blazer was the compact suv. They eventually dropped the S10 name and simply called it the Blazer. Bronco went full size in the late 70's and Bronco 2 became the compact version soon to be replaced by the Explorer and 2 door Explorer sport.

    Great videos guys. Still always. I miss you on tfll Steven. But i follow you on your own. It's good to have some Canadian content on youtube. Because of some difference with US price and any kind of stuff you know. Thanks for what you do and your father too.
    About the lag, is it the turbos or the drive by wire? I have a F-150 and always thought that it was due to the time that the computer take to calculate the pedal position and give the fuel. Am i wrong?

    • @TruckKing
      @TruckKing  Před 2 lety

      Hadn't considered that. My gut says it's not the drive-by-wire; but we need an engineers opinion. At some point I'll get to ask.

    Those horsepower and torque numbers are on premium. If you use standard you get 10 less of each approximately.

    What did you mean by in Canada we only get the soft top? Is this since Ford's last message on Friday? Great video!

      All Bronco's come with the soft top - if you want the hard top that's extra.

    How's the ride quality on the road with the 35's? Not relating to noise but does it ride smooth? How's the steering? does it wander? Thanks. Great video

    Tyre noise: too loud.
    Me: music 🎵🎶🎶🎵. A positive feature. Drowns out the static outside, giggity.
    Gas: Poor mileage
    Me: better then 7 😎.
    Looking sharp with them 4 doors. Off-roading looking mighty tempting.

    Bestop needs to make a sunrider top for it like they do for the hard top Jeeps. Oh, and good luck getting a four door let alone a two door. We'll have to see if the Canadian dealers that manage to get Broncos, mark them up like their US counterparts are.

    • @nicholassmith7048
      @nicholassmith7048 Před 2 lety +1

      They may mark them up but Canada has laws against excessive markup.

    I compared the articulation of TTB front end on my Bronco II, with the IFS on the new Bronco. The modified TTB on the B2 articulates more in extreme situations, to the point where I needed limiting straps. And the ride is still decent on washboard compared to the live axel in the Jeep. The one thing I don't like about the TTB, is how low the pumpkins sits. Great video guys, but for the cost in CDN dollars, I'm glad I live in the states. If it weren't for Biden, it would be even better. :)

    The bronco should not be compared to the wrangler, two different vehicles. Compare the bronco to the discovery. The wrangler is an old design, 70 years, its not comparable.

    • @SanctumOfDreams
      @SanctumOfDreams Před 2 lety

      True they’re not the same at all. Wrangler is for off-road use. The bronco is for Instagram influencer types or “overlanders”

    Something to keep in mind is that price isn’t what some dealers are going to let it go for. Some dealers are marking up similar models upwards of 100,000$ due to demand and limited stock. So try not to let them get away with that people!

    Ford is having a lot of problems with the new Bronco. I CANCELED my order... Its probably best to wait at least 2 years for Ford to work out all of the bugs... Or, you should have a good second car, as these Broncos will be back at the dealership a lot.

    Turbo lag is offset by expensive and heavy electric assist systems in super cars....maybe some future tech will address that turbo lag lighter and cheaper , but ALL turbo's have it, even if you use two stages and multiple turbo's like this thing does.
