To be fair, I don’t blame some people for thinking the pics are real. A shirtless guy getting attacked by an alligator and kinging it in the face to escape just seems like something that would happen in Florida.
It's the water splash😂. I swear you can even feel the kick by the splash
I’ll be honest I thought the dude was real at most and did random poses and ppl just edited them.
He's real in my heart. 😔
A shirtless Florida man kicking an alligator would not even make the news.
honestly I thought that's what it was at first
The fact that LIMC was very clearly trying not to laugh reading a caption is pretty funny

Florida man fighting with an alligator and eventually becoming best friend with it is the most powerful character development ever.
maybe the real florida men, were the friends we made along the way

As an alligator myself, I can say Gumbo Slice is a chill dude.

I remember watching this fight live, what a truly memorable moment.

I think how realistic it is shows how well it’s done instead of terrible media literacy. Usually once someone points out AI it usually stops in its tracks. Sure some of it is just not understanding it’s fake but even people who are aware of AI didn’t notice.
The shininess looked weird but it genuinely looks real
@@Omega-mr1jg I thought so too, the imperfections are so minor that I at first thought it was photoshopped in.
I'm used to AI having a problem with hands, and this one made a handshake between 2 species pass the squint test
Isnt it wonderful when ai is used by people outside of cryptobros and grifters for silly stuff like this
Being named Gumbo Slice just made it spread faster
Love the fact that limc almost breaks character in some parts it's pretty funny lmao
He’s a true meme scholar 😄👍❤️

Gumbo slice is majestic
Agreed
Powerful man…
super kick.
Hearing LIMC almost laughing is literally giving me JOY. Holy crap, I started busting out laughing immediately as he attempted to say the caption.
ya'll ever heard 'bout my buddy Keith? He was one wild fella, I'll tell ya. One time, he tried campin' on top of a buildin', shootin' crows, but them police teargassed him somethin' fierce. He hollered for a year every time he blinked. At first, it was funny; then it got sad, but it circled back to funny again!
That alligator regretted its life choices.💀
I recognized that he was AI because you can't just enter a swamp like that and have walk out with clear skin. You'd have mosquito bites all over your body in mere minutes.
His boot look off
Maybe even the mosquitoes fear him 😂😂😂
Or just put on repellent and that works.

I could easily see this becoming a full blown action film. It would be insane to see some overweight middle aged man kick alligators for 2 hours. This is the hero Hollywood needs and the one it needs right now.
Most of the “heroes” Hollywood produces are pretty boring in my eyes. But this? Perfection 👌✨

LIMC trying to hold in laughter makes this whole thing even funnier
gumbo slice is a reference to kimbo slice, he was an mma fighter but originally did street fight videos and in the early days of the internet was one of the most viral video series. he died in 2016 of heart failure, rest in piece.

Man, this meme makes me happy cuz Kimbo Slice is still remembered in some way😊
(Kimbo Slice is a prevalent figure during the early days of the UFC/MMA scene)
From the start, i never thought these things were bad, AI artwork as a whole, it´s just the issue that artist´s work has been just taken, and fed into there.
This is a good example of how it should have been done, trained on Real Reference images, not on artists works. Just free use and self-made photo references. Noone would complain if it started out that way, but we got people who are just greedy, inconsiderate and well. Don´t respect anything.
He's just appealing to all sides while offering no opinions about ai, aka neutral
It was always going to end up like this. Even if it had started off with real reference photos.
Technically if an AI is good enough. The AI wouldn't even to use the art from said artist to generate a similar image. What happens then? Are artists still going to complain about their art being "stolen"?
Nope, that is not even remotely an issue. We should apply the same standards we have for artists, that being inspiration/referencing isn't wrong even if the image in question is copyrighted. AI does essentially the same thing, but people suddenly pretend it is a problem.
Quit your bullshit.
@@Hoshino_szr Of course they are.
I think its important to mention that the name gumbo slice comes from fighter Kimbo Slice who sports a similar beard and might also be from florida.
0:47 this art is fking awesome, love it
With all the problems with AI, THIS is the kind of use one could get behind. No artist is affected megatively, no art needs to be recontextualized in way the creator might dislike. You make an image with a soulless thing you can't do wrong against, and use it for meaning so abstract its jank doesn't matter.
You. Have no likes ahahhaa
The only problem i can see is that someone thinks it's real (since it is a deep fake) and then "tries it at home"
@@jeffbenton6183That’s always been the case with people. A child jumped off a building believing they were a Pokémon in the Middle East and another buried themselves in sand because they thought they had chakra powers like in Naruto.
That’s not getting into how random influencers do “pranks” and then get shot, or the countless dumb things people have done before the Internet was even a factor. Don’t even matter what the motivation is. There will always be someone stupid or delusional enough to try to do the thing, even if it kills them, gets them arrested or even punched in the face.
@@ByTheStormsome people just can't differentiate between fictional and real, it's just a very sad situation.
@@kazeith The two I mentioned were really young and probably very impressionable people. My only extent to doing something remotely like this at that age was trying to get a Digimon like in the Tamers anime and placed this really rough looking drawing with the toy digivice I had under the stairs. Felt stupid at the time for doing that, but whatever. At the time, I never seen or read anything to the emotional caliber that that show had. It was also when I started to doubt my religion after observing how arbitrary and hypocritical the organised religion’s adherents in my life were. I’m not against religion, it was just me trying to find meaning in a possibly godless world in a way I didn’t have the tools for at the time.
Most I believe comes from the reasoning of real life not being as magical to that extent, or their personal lives aren’t the best if they’re older. Or not. There’s been a few cases of children killing themselves from bullying or whatever. I honestly suspect that at least a few of these incidents being blamed on anime are actually tragic suicides blamed on the current popular thing. Though I honestly believe the child pretending to be Gaara was more than slightly on the delusional side.
It’s hilarious and a bit pathetic seeing people beating that dead horse excuse of “what if people try it at home?” that’s it’s basically glue. People have been inspired to do far worse than offing themselves with dumb theatrics and temporary fame. Like those who take their religion/political ideology too far and kill other people who don’t believe like they do. Or Harry Potter fans that compare every waking moment of life to the events and characters in the book while looking down on religious people who act the same way.
I did not know this was AI. This is both scary and hilarious.
this would go so hard as an album cover

Big Smoke
0:19 him suppressing the laugh is one of the purest things
That man is, like, a dad bod turned to the maximum one can go.

😂
True.
LIMC's devolving into the humor he researches is actually a greater, more important lesson in meme culture.
I first noticed this in the "it would be so awesome it would be so cool" where LIMC sung the lyrics instead of saying them in his normal, generally monotone voice.
Since then, LIMC has been showing more and more examples of joking around in these lessons, using more slang, and stuff like that.
and now him laughing at the captions
It goes to show that not even the most professional person in the space of memes can resist loving and embracing memes. Just like anybody exposed to memes for long enough will start liking them. That's how humor changes. If you stopped watching memes back in 2017, and you just came back, you wouldn't find any of it funny. but give it a year, and everything is funny again.
Whether this was intentional or not, it's a really good learning opportunity
Underrated af comment
I like to think LIMC took many takes reading the caption, and this was the best.

"AI IS DANGEROUS!!!!!!"
Gumbo Slice:
Well, i don't really have a problem with AI (well, this is not AI but that's not the point) the problem is when people try to copy artists' artwork and sell it as their own or companies try to use this programs to substitute actual artists and workers. If we could keep AI images only to do funny stuff like this it wouldn't be a problem at all, unless we want to go down into the philosopy hole...
Listening to you try to read the image caption without laughing made my day
