  • Snap bags are easy and fun to make. This bag is used for your sunglasses or eye glasses. They will be protected in your backpack or purse and they are personalized to your taste. These can be made in less than an hour, and it is an easy project for elementary school age kids to make.
This is a great way to use up some of your scrap fabrics or left over batting that you have. They make great gifts for friends and family or you can make them to sell at craft shows. Try not to raid the family tool box for the tape measure, get one that is just for you and this project.
Check out this other video on my channel on how to make snap bags.

Thank you for your kind comment.
Because the glass bags are so narrow, it will take some maneuvering to turn it inside out.
      They are fun to make!

Why didn't you just put in the metal tape before sewing the one side so you could sew the seam all at once?

      Thank you for your question!
When I first made them, I did place the metal tape measure in, then tried sewing it. I was worried that my needle would hit the metal. So then I decided to sew down one side to make sure I didn’t hit the metal. When I inserted the tape measure , I could see if I needed to trim

      Trim the metal.
