Hi i have been making these little gems for a few years and learned to make a few improvements i always cover the tape measur e with masking tape I also make phone pouches using old Venetian blind ribs they work very well and the snap is a little deeper. ..
I absolutely love tutorials for scraps. I first learned to sew when I was 8 through our local 4-H club. Often during my High school years I would stay up all night to make myself a new dress, skirt, or jumper for a special occasion. Growing up in a home who’s parents survived the depression, & WW-II, I was taught to not throw away good scraps of fabric. That’s why I love gems like this one. I’m able now to discard many scraps of “good fabric” to organizations that will take them. I also have my cedar chest as well as my mothers so it’s nice to have some great places to store fabric that I could make little gems such as this. Al you & thank you so much for your tutorial on cutting binding from a fat quarter, and I used that technique today with very little waist.
You can have it for cheap purse speaking with chains on it and it put James Personnel you can put cheese in there changing it between purse if it's not like that if you put a change in there you can put chains in there
Made one once for a gift for a friend and she immediately opened it like it was covering for the gift, then seemed Unimpressed with what I had made for her, so definitely put something in it.
I actually bought my raw tape measure from the MO. Star Quilt store a few years ago. But you need to use only the regular sized tape measure meatless tape, don’t buy the thinner metal tape because they don’t have enough metal to give you that snap you want.
Yes, and the side seam. It is a small bag so there should not be an issue with the batting. If you would like to quilt it, that is always a fun option.
Thank you for your question, here are the fabric and batting sizes you'll need for this project: 🧵8.5" x 5.5" outside fabric 🧵8.5" x 5.5" thin batting 🧵5.5" x 12.5" lining fabric
You can make them any size to hold various things. Just make the batting the same size as the outer fabric and make the lining 2 inches bigger on each end and the same width as the outer fabric. Like if your outer was 6x8, the batting would be 6x8 and the liner would be 6x12. Cut the tape measure 1 inch shorter so you can do 1/2 inch seams without hitting the metal. Hope that helps. Happy sewing.🪡
I LIKE HOW NEET IT IS

Does any kind of tape measure work. Also do you sew over it?
It works best if you use one of the metal tape measures so it will "click". You won't sew over the tape measure, you will just sew around it.
You can put money in there you can put your keys in there all you could change in there or your ID in your
I tried to use the smaller tape measure and it didn’t work at all.
Your batting is held in place by the casing?
Yes, and the side seam. It is a small bag so there should not be an issue with the batting. If you would like to quilt it, that is always a fun option.
Do they stay in an opened position?
Nope! The two pieces of tape measure hold it shut! You pull on the triangle tabs to open it.

So many videos. I order acrylic cut as a pattern for everything on Etsy
As long as the teacups are pictures on fabric it’s fine if they’re upside down.
