It has literally been about 15 years since I heard this song. Randomly thought of it today. It's wild what kind of memories your brain unlocks at random times.
Weirdly did the same yesterday... was the face and voice of the Penguin on the Batman series 🤣✌️ triggered some Fking awesome memories of these guys. 💪 trying to remember more today.. 😁✌️
I remember always seeing their albums at Target back in the day. You had to be pretty big to make it onto target shelves with all the mainstream shit no?
Jeffrey Ruffner I do too lol. I can go from this to a7x then led zeppelin slayer motionless In White and back to older shit. I love everything honestly
Every time I see this video it takes be back to being 17. The sights, the sounds and the feelings. Nothing else does that. This video is forever Halloween 2005.
I feel that. Its crazy I was 15 when I first heard this song now I'm goin on 32! I haven't even listened to them since I was around 17 when everything shifted for me. And lately I've been going through some extremely challenging circumstances and songs and bands that I haven't listened to in 13, 14, 15 years have just randomly started popping in my head. AFI is another band I started listening to again. But older Afi Like pre Decemberunderground AFI. And what's wild is I thought Inwas relating to the music when I was a teen, but I relate to ut even more now
Oh man i remember when a emo girl that had a huge crush on me pulled up to my house blasting this song on summer evening of 2007. We drove around listening to the entire Nightmare Anatomy and some HIM :') I wonder what she's doing present day.
She has 3 kids, two baby daddies, 2 months past due on her rent and $0 food stamps because she sold them because her buddy was doing a deal on tattoos in his basement
I name my son (twin A) Aiden After them I remember hearing this band a long time ago. never really listen to their songs. I didn't want to name him Jose, Mike, jayden, Carlos,Rafael, Angel,Jordan the same boring names I hear all the time.
A close friend of mine and I recently had a conversation about our favorite, classic Emo albums from growing up (were both nearly 30 now) and my buddy mentioned 'Nightmare Anatomy', naturaly I spent the next 2 days listening to the whole album on repeat, such a great album and ironically a great time in my life. If only we could go back to being 14 and smoking behind the bike sheds listening to this album on a burnt CD whilst skipping class. You can't get those days back but you can relive them it seems.
I was totally listening to this band when I was 9 years old.. Definitely was my favorite band in those times.. I am now 29 lol.. My opinion of them hasn't changed, and I miss them honestly. It'll never be the same again. :/ Just imagine how many bands copied there style.
As a teen currently going through an emo phase, all of the comments from elder emos talking about their good memories regarding this song make me so happy.
This band saved my life, Nightnare Anatomy saved and help change my life forever. I thank William Francis for saving my fvckin life when there was no one physically there for me but mentally he was there with his music. His words/lyrics that I could strongly relate to. I struggled with addiction with opioids/opium and I’m currently sober and recovering. I lost some friends due to suicide. I almost died last year from being chased down by some kid I fought in a fight a week before he chased me down and he wanted revenge but I got the word that he was wanting to stab me. I out ran him and climbed my apartment roof thanks to my friend who was there running with me. A month later she took her own life, she was only 25 turning 26 with two little kids. She drank a lot of alcohol and mixed some kind of prescription pills with them. And when her boyfriend found her back at their home she was gone. Life is unexpected, you never know when your friends gonna be gone forever. I thank music for saving me, I thank positive people for being around me at times when no one really checks on me. I’ll always love Aiden and Wil forever.
I wanna cry, remember being a teen, listening to this at my pink iPod shuffle, being in love with a scene girl from my hometown and playing silent hill homecoming, miss those times.
I’m 27 now, but I remember when I was 12 - 17 obsessed with My Chemical Romance, I was always upset that by the time I got into their music, they weren’t together anymore, so I was stuck with their 3-4 albums to replay😂 I would get sooo excited anytime I found a band that sounded even remotely similar to them (although they have a sound and lyric style that nobody can really imitate). Aiden was one of those bands for me even though I never fully got into them, but this song was definitely one I liked.
Am I the only one who comes here to listen to the songs of my youth but scroll down cause I cant stand watching the video without cringing but then i think......wow back then i would have that this was the best fucking thing i have ever seen :)
Just think, in a few more years, the comment section will go from "who still listens in 20XX" or "ow my myspace emo days," and it will be full of kids saying "I was born in the wrong generation." Just think about that for a second, all these kids painting their nails black, wearing girl jeans because skinny Jean's are not tight enough, studded belts, slip-ons, bandana around their necks, v-neck post hardcore band shirt, blacked out emo hair cut, and eyeliner. The cool thing would be if they made local shows popular again. That be super cool as some of us expanded from those days and got into the music industry that way. Thay be cool as it be handing down knowledge lol.
I feel like those days are fucking gone man. My city used to have hardcore shows at a church back in 2005-2009. All underground local bands and some of them were really good. Check out Under Anchor on CZcams. They are pretty heavy, but cool.
Those local shows at churches and basement venues will always resonate with me. I'm so glad I got to grow through the monumental part of the genre and shape my teenage years. I'll never consider my emo phase cringey.
Wow, I only recently got into this band bcz they were my best friend's fav band and oml I love them, they are actually awesome - this song in particular is so beautiful
This brings back my emo days :L oh my life of being 14 and dressing up so gothic and emoish, all black listening to green day, my chemical romance, paramore, madina lake, HIM, black veil brides, slipknot, evanescence, fall out boy etc. Oh my days, if only i could go back to them days, well tbh i haven't changed, well music i listen to, hasn't changed but this makes me wish i could go back, i miss being a teenager/emo/goth/scene kid type person :(
middle school memories. MySpace days. plus they were they were the first show I went to. they were my salvation. ohgod, I was such a visual eyesore though.
It has literally been about 15 years since I heard this song. Randomly thought of it today. It's wild what kind of memories your brain unlocks at random times.
Same, I was watching a true crime show where the killer was named alien and I thought about this song
same, unlocking today
Very old school moments, first loves haha
Right? So many memories that didn't come up until I revisited, I miss those days😢
Weirdly did the same yesterday... was the face and voice of the Penguin on the Batman series 🤣✌️ triggered some Fking awesome memories of these guys. 💪 trying to remember more today.. 😁✌️
No one wanted to admit it, but Aiden had such sick riffs.
Angel Ibarra!!!
The verse riff is my favourite part of post-hardcore.. so noodly!
facts
emo really has some sick riffs
Cranking this album has such a great deep distortion sound
Ah yes, the teenage years where the world seemed so hopeless.
Wait, nothing's changed...
used to be better now you're a slave of the Elite wearing a muzzle and you're not aloud to be happy or even go to the store without the facemask
I am a teen right now and I will have to agree nothing seems to have changed from what went on when this song came out.
@@SonicBoy Nothing's changed, except we're no longer teenagers and we're told to wear masks. Can't do much about the being older part.
I'm boutta be 28 an this is accurate AF lol
I was 20 when this song came out. So I wasn’t even a teenager.
This band is seriously underrated.
Classic! Who's gonna be listening in 2020?!
Got world by storm tattooed I miss this band so much
Can confirm listening now
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I just remembered this band
I’m here!
Never understood why this band wasn’t waaay bigger
Cause the singer is a creep
Because they looked ridiculous, their songs are pretty good though.
@Demon Slayer They were not huge at all! Even back in the day, they were just seen as an MCR ripoff.
I remember always seeing their albums at Target back in the day. You had to be pretty big to make it onto target shelves with all the mainstream shit no?
@@krissymarklewis1793 it's emo... That's how they used to dress in emo music. This genre isn't for you.
Holy shit! my teenage MySpace years just came back to me. XD
Yeah mine too although I listen to slayer shit and hatebreed these days, as cheesy as this shit is, it is still likable........
Jeffrey Ruffner I do too lol. I can go from this to a7x then led zeppelin slayer motionless In White and back to older shit. I love everything honestly
+Marissa FICTION Kroll that's cool, I'm like 99% gun metal grey these days but there is always that 1%.........
Liz vicious is your catriona gray that time but hell.liz is hotter 10× than catriona.
Just like falling in reverse they got the same element as them back when ronnie was the vocalist.
God even now Aiden is still one of the best bands I've ever heard.
MCR eat your heart out am I rite?
You should listen to more music.
@@hummens44l0l
Listen to more music then
That's the saddest thing I've read today
My favorite song on NCAA Baseball 06. Would skip to replay it over and over. So awesome to hear it a decade later

She has 3 kids, two baby daddies, 2 months past due on her rent and $0 food stamps because she sold them because her buddy was doing a deal on tattoos in his basement
You should’ve stayed with her. You can’t find people with that taste in music nowadays.
Dude the emo/scene chicks from around that time were So. Fucking. Mint. Hottest bitches ever. And yeah good taste in music.
The Emo's will never die....
