Gretsch Limited Edition Malcolm Young Signature Jet | CME Gear Demos

- Made to look just like the red 1963 Gretsch Jet Firebird Malcolm Young was given by his brother George when AC/DC was still a fledgling band, this Limited Edition Malcolm Young Signature Jet Firebird replicates the guitar that the powerhouse rhythm guitarist made into his own by adding a third pickup-but the red finish gives a glimpse of the early days of AC/DC from 1973-75, before he stripped the finish down to the natural wood grain. Call CME for more Gretsch guitars like this limited edition Malcolm Young Signature model!

dude looks perfect for demoing this guitar, like a member of the band itself
Exactly my thought. Looks like young Malcolm's brother.
Malcolm Young lives on!
Fittingly, Blake has played the Malcolm role in a Chicago AC/DC cover band. Damn good rhythm guitar player, he has Malcolm's right hand technique down.
CME is largely concerned with looks and appearance.
2:24 The Furor🔥
Guy even looks like a young Malcom! Cool demo bro!
Finally, a proper Malcolm Young guitar review!!!
They couldn’t have chose a better man to demo it! Good job Blake!
Harry Vanda gifted Mal the Gretsch, not big brother George. Harry Vanda was lead guitarist for the Easybeats alongside George Young.
I love the demo, it's a tribute itself, and the guy looks like a member of the band at the time !
Very good demo, thanks so much. No overly distorted playing which instantly gets away from Malcolm
Oh Hell yeah!! This guitar really got my attention!
What a beautiful guitar
There’s one of these in my local shop and it’s pretty cool. The matte paint is especially interesting.
What a great guitar, Gretsch makes some great guitars and the one shown in the video sounds good.
Blake, you look just like him when he younger!!!!!!! Hope they give you a shot on Live Fridays!!!
Wasn't given to him by George Young. It was Harrys guitar, this is how history gets rewritten and misinformation gets spread and becomes fact.
Correct, and thank you!
Harry says malcolm was such a hot player he deserved a good guitar !!!
" JailllllllllllBreak! "
The Furor!
That's what I thought! Such a cool deep cut!
Это топ!!! Спасибо за контент ) Мальком один из главных ритм гитаристов истории!
Thanks for demonstrating all the features. Yeah. Great job right there.
Hey! Thank you for this video! I´m wondering how pieces of this guitar are produced?
I have the same, love it, but I really want to know what "number of limitet pieces" they are.
Someone gave me the info that they sell only 60 pieces in europe.
Do you know anything about it?
Thank you for your reply and keep going the good videos,
Vanessa
2:04 - I had a moment where I realized the exact same thing
It’s all about the gear connected to the guitar
He talks about this representing the ‘73 to ‘75 early days but then plays and talks about music from the 1980 album.
I see that thing, and it makes me go "Studio guitar!" since a pickup lay out like that will do almost anything.
Too bad that people who buy one of these will likely use it for AC/DC music only, which is selling the capabilities of this guitar short.
- Select the neck and the middle pickups together, put on some compression and delay and play some Mark Knopfler.
- Or select the neck and bridge pickups together, play it through a Fender Bassman with an echoplex and blast out those rockabilly riffs.
at 0:15 he looks like malcolm playing
Do they make a left-handed version? Please say yes!
How many of these did they make? Are any still in inventory?
Love your videos but please make it easier to find the product page for this guitar. The CME Exclusives page doesn't list Gretsch as a brand.
Hi! Sorry for any confusion but this one is not a CME exclusive.

Thanks!
Same guitar, same haircut, same t-shirt, same pants, result= you are Malcom Young!
Wonder how it would have sounded if both Angus and Malcolm had the same guitar.
I dont know. Maybe it would have sounded weird.
Will it mount a Bigsby?
Why ruin it?
Is that a floating harmonica bridge? Or is that just kinda a shim?
Jeez buddy, you’re not playing ambient Indy music. As Malcolm would say “hit the fcking thing”
I was thinking the same thing, this is where all those who say AC/DC is simple to play are missing the point. Everyone misses the feel and angst!
