Handlebar Cradle made from cheap lumber support found in charity shop and cheap bar extension available from eBay.
Nice cradle. I ride along the highways and roadsides and find a lot of trash that can be repurposed. Truck bed liners, fender wells, and valances are similar to the lumber support you used there and would be very good material for creating bike packing diy projects. Thanks for great tips.
Wow that's so weird, I was driving up the motorway and was thinking exactly the same thing about plastic truck mudguards along the roadside. Great minds think alike ✌❤👊👊

Great job! Bike packing shouldn't have to be expensive. I started out in with a backpack in a milk crate zip tied onto my rack. I have just about anything you could want now but good to make your own stuff and judge how much you enjoy it.
love this. Im thinking of getting a cheap plastic trashcan and mimicing the lumbar support and binder setup. Hell, might even separate them and rivet like you did; LOVE the sneaky wind screen storage
Thanks for the kind words, I did consider plastic bin but found the plastic bottles thin for the main part. I think you can still get these lumbar supports on eBay for less than £10. So glad my vid was helpful. ✌❤👊
Superb video, and great work on the DIY plastics bending! What method of connecting rear saddle bag mount did you do? I'm a budget cyclist and bike packer so these tips were right up my street. Thanks for sharing

@@mutantlego Many thanks for reply and link - and I don't suppose by any chance you plan to make any 4" pipe bending/cutting tutorials do you? That would be pretty good. Did you draw a template and wrap around the pipe or do it freehand?
@@harrycaul2494 I'm a woodworker so made them with normal woodworking tools, a drill and a router. My tip is to drill all the large holes before sawing down the length because this will keep the tube rigid. I used a heat gun to bend the tab at the bottom.

I only heat bent the tab at the bottom at 90 degrees. I just heated the point and tilted it on my workbench top. A hair dryer would also work.
