That last lift has that weird disabled call button that seems to be an intercom for when the lift is needed between 8pm and 7am, but surely the centre would be closed at that time? It has some nice leveling for a hydraulic too.
When the part of the centre got rebuilt and that lift installed in 1999, they extended the opening times to 9/10PM but they shut at 9PM on a Thursday now.
I don't see why almost every m&s has a stupid lift. Its like having a bad lift is on the specification when you open a shop, it MUST have an awful lift or we will close the store.

Those Schindler Eurolifts used to be express lifts but were replaced rather than modernised
