The soloing was Ken Hensley on the Hammond organ, not guitar.
People talk about Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple as the founders of heavy metal but Uriah Heep were right there with them. This was one of the best early heavy riffs in my opinion and the keyboard work and vocals are stellar in this song.

Uriah Heep is still together with Mick Box as only original member. Demons & Wizards being their best albums, IMO.

i heard this song gypsy the first time in 1970 i was 10 years old i immediately remembered i had the single back then there were 2 songs on it side A easy livin side B gypsy 1970 to 1978 were the best rock band uriah heep deep purple black sabbath the sweet slade jimmy hendrix and since 45 years my absolutly favorite band boston for ever in my opinion i have to apologize i don t speak english very well im german i hope not so many mistakes in my message sori vin i like you music video show and i like you boths i thank you so much and wish you all the best take care aigin thank you
