    I love Oxnard, live in the north end and you can’t beat the weather. ❤

    I was born up north but grew up in Oxnard. Used to want to live in LA when I was younger, especially since the nightlife in Oxnard is non-existent and sucks in Ventura. Now that I'm older, I enjoy the slower paced life in Oxnard. I'm a Veteran but would never think of buying a house out here now, with the crazy prices, even with the VA home loan. I do wish I could use the VA loan to build an ADU. Otherwise, I'll just have to move to another state or build a house in Mexico where my parents are from and live off my pension.

      We understand how tough it can be and how expensive. We love it here and wouldn't want to move but the prices just keep rising. If you want to find out more information on whether the adu is attainable we have an amazing lender, Lynda with Prosperity Mortgage. Her number is 805-701-0199. Let her know we recommended you give her a call. If you would like a market analysis to see how much your home is worth before and after the adu please give us a call and we can do that for you. Take care!

    Is it expensive to live out there

    • @livinginventuracounty1071
      @livinginventuracounty1071  Před rokem +2

      It is expensive but the minimum wage is higher. I think you have to look at how much money you can make here vs somewhere else and your quality of life and then decide if it is right for you. We spend a lot of time at the beach and hiking around the area so that saves us money by not having to take a vacation to the beach:). Where do you live? What do you like about it there? We love to hear from our viewers.

      Depending on how much you have as a down payment and where you want to live in Ventura County that should be enough to live here. What areas were you thinking about? We love living in Oxnard and depending on the neighborhood that would be enough to live here. Have you looked at our videos of the friendly neighborhoods, Santa Paula or Port Hueneme? We understand. The friendly neighborhoods is where we live and it is one of the safest neighborhoods with virtually no crime. We always recommend looking at the crime map before moving to an area. Here is a link to the one for Oxnard and Ventura, www.communitycrimemap.com/. We have other crime maps for other areas if you are interested. Please feel free to email us at team@living-inventuracounty.com.
