    Well done guys! Btw I achieved the same using instead a flux capacitor, sound is good but this technique requires 1.21 gigawatts of power. 😉

    I don’t know what’s more fun: to watch these four elder mocking viewers o reading people actually believing this crap

    Brilliant, I tried this with my band ( Jackanory ) we all live in different towns and it works perfectly once we adjusted the space / time continuum.

      can you please explain how to do this or post a video, I am a visual learner, how do you do this in your date and time feature on your computer in settings

      I guess the "Jackanory" clue is lost on anyone not watching BBC TV in the 1970's. When I have discovered how to adjust time I will rule the world.

    You are joking. Right? Divide miles from a song's BPM and then adjust time and date on your computer? If you are serious, you need to show what you are doing. Just do it with two people and show what each person is doing you avoid latency.

      I imagine this could be with SMPTE timecode if they all were linked to a master midi controller. Or, they're trolling :)

    Perfect poker face, Mike! Very funny. Kostas had the most trouble keeping straight-faced. Had me going until about 1:40, when I realized it's a perfect load of hooie. Very funny- reading through the comments, I see a few never quite caught on. :0

    Brilliant we've tried this and it works! Thanks for letting us in on your little secret, fabulous stuff. Synching your computer to an atomic clock helps keep everyone's computer fron drifting during the performance also.

    I'm really keen to understand how to adjust date and time settings as well but didn't really understand what you meant either - like Boatsatnav below. I'm a piano teacher and usually a lot of the enjoyment in my lessons comes from accompanying my students . It also motivates them because I can embellish a simple piece with a jazzy accompaniment and there have so much more fun. If you could put a clearer explanation on here I would be eternally grateful.

    The cat walked across the keyboard when I was in the date and time settings and now I'm stuck in 1959 and all I can hear is big band jazz and swing bands... Help.what do I do? I can't find my way back as my keyboard has turned into an old fashioned type writer and there's no menu option.... just keys, a carriage return lever and some ribbon.

    Awesome guys, this is exactly what our band wants to do but we're not clear on the date and time settings - Is that adjustment carried out in Zoom or is it the computers own settings that you adjust? If the latter, how do you offset to fractions of a second?

    I find it that I can solve the whole latency problem by using a flux connector cable. It's a cable that carries flux over the ethernet lines, instead of the usual electrons. I don't do electrons any more when making electronic connections. Flux works much better in real time. Hope this helps.

    Just go into "space time continuum settings" in your computer and bend time... amusing stuff... Its hard enough sorting latency with my home studio :-)

    Same question as the others - I don't understand how changing the time on my computer could make any difference. And why would you have to play reggae with people in Jamaica? Is this satire?

  • @stevenfox5929

    Very good video...how do you make adjustments on your computers? Are you using an app for this adjustment?

  • @pmvoice88
    @pmvoice88 Před 3 lety

    There is a way to offset everyone's time to compensate for latency. This is how Ninjam works. They are still playing 'live' and out of sync except each persons latancey 'offset' allows them to hear it in sync. The result being that everyone hears their version of 'in sysc'. Also it's better if you use a metronome.

  • @creativemindnyc
    @creativemindnyc Před 4 lety +3

    For the life of me I am trying to understand what your attempting to convey to the world about how to set up offset timing in Zoom or your host computer to deal with the delay. Please define exactly how it's done in Zoom and how you might make the adjustments. Honestly without the settings and math calculations it sounds like totally made up stuff. I did hear a difference in the time the after your adjustments but without the details there's no logical reason it should work. Thank you.
