      @CRD90  Před rokem +2

      Thanks bud, I can't remember how in depth the license checks were but you should be okay as the paddle shifts are easy to use.
      Most countries allow automatic licenses to drive paddle shift cars.
      To be 100% sure I would suggest contactin yas marina via their WhatsApp number. The team are super helpful to answer queries 👍🏽

    Hey, I'm going to do that in one month. Birthday gift of my gf and to be honest I'm already a little stress. i wanted to know, are there indications on the dashboard when to shift down or up ? I'm driving manual car for 14 years now but I'm gonna be like a kid full of stress 😂 Thanks for the important thing to not to do : don't use the clutch during the ride, so no using my left leg, I get it. Thanks for your video, big help ! And another thing, it's just the instructor and you or other persons behind you ? I'm scared to be slow and ruined the experience of other persons you know.

      Thanks bud, anyone with a license can try, if you've driven fast before / done a trackday that is a plus.
      But you can obviously do everything at your own pace so I wouldn't be put off it, it's a fantastic experience.

    Hi , I am going to try formula 1 car in Yas marina, ofcourse I have never driven one. I know it can be scary could you guide me through the whole kick off procedure especially how clutch works. I am confused have we also got clutch in the pedal area ?

    • @CRD90
      @CRD90  Před 9 měsíci +3

      Yes there is a clutch pedal in the car. It's only used to move from neutral into gear and move. After that it's just like an automatic car with paddle shifters.
      Don't be put off by it, the staff are super friendly and it's not that difficult at all 👍.
      Just don't press the clutch by accident whilst the car is moving - that could get messy!

    • @aqua980
      @aqua980 Před 9 měsíci +2

      so the clutch is positioned only behind the steering wheel and not the foot area where normal car's clutch is present ?
      I have also seen that Two clutch paddles are present on the steering wheel, one on either side, how do they both correlate ?
      Thank you for your prompt answers :)

  • @biranderdogan5794
    @biranderdogan5794 Před 9 měsíci +1

    You drove the car manually in the driving process.
    There is two pedal in Formula 1 car. One of them is brake and the other one is gas. Formula 1 drivers use their right foot to push the gas and their left foot to use the brake.
    My question is, how can you use the clutch if there isn't any third pedal under your feet?

    • @CRD90
      @CRD90  Před 9 měsíci +1

      There is a third pedal off to the far left. That's why it's dangerous as some people press the clutch when trying to slow down and it sends them into a spin.
      This obviously isn't a full on F1 car so that could account for the difference in pedal layouts

    • @biranderdogan5794
      @biranderdogan5794 Před 9 měsíci +1

      Sir Thank you so much for the fast response,
      Basically what I understood is that the only time the driver uses the clutch is to move away from a stop (only be used when the car is pulling away from a standing start, and it is not there to help with changing gears when moving).@@CRD90

    What level of experience with a race car do you feel is necessary to drive the Yas 3000?

    • @CRD90
      @CRD90  Před rokem +1

      Hi there, I think if you've done a track day or two before it will definitely help. Also it depends on how confident you generally are..
      The cars are very grippy although if you have never counter-steered before you may be caught out!
      To put it into context, I'd never driven a "race car" before this but I have pushed my own road car at trackdays and experienced what happens with too much throttle coming out of bends etc.
      If you're not a very confident person I probably wouldn't advise this.

      @CRD90  Před rokem +3

      Thanks! It definitely had a totally different atmosphere driving under lights - that made for a really enjoyable experience.
      The circuit itself was perhaps lacking some low speed bends in comparison to Silverstone which has a nice mix of both high and low speed sections.
