Amazing that in 2022, this thirty year old car still looks stylish.

Absolutely right, wouldn't mind driving this still. I just thought about it, front headlights are exactly like Lincoln Mark vll

I have a 98' S90 (same as the 960, essentially) it's an utter joy to drive. Literally and unironically the best car I've ever owned.
Ride is smooth and so is the power delivery. She handles very well, if you wanna do spirited twisties she won't complain. Torque is the name of this car's game, and it is plentiful and immediate...and SMOOTH. If you want to pass someone, you'll pass them.... smoothly 😊
The car is not about racing or anything, but highway rolling is what this thing loves. You wanna do burnouts....she CAN do that....but driving these cars doesn't make you want to do any of that. The 960/S90 makes you just want to chill, I'm floating, I'm smooth....👌
This car has a general calming effect, you just want to cruise, seat are soft (but not too much), let her do her thing and trust me she'll pamper you. 😎
Volvo was on point when they designed this car, decades of evolution from the 700 series onward. The 900 series was a masterpiece, Volvo's core essence in one car imo.

What a tribute! I happen to have a 960 (MY 91) "B 6034 F " and that's it! As you say, it is not especially a Volvo sportscar, but this swedish sedan's got enough power to manage any kind of the danger of the road without yelling. If you get in this Volvo 960 being angry, you will go out quiet, well and relaxed. As the same way as my 760 V6 (MY 84) " B 28 E" with a high quality of silence.
Thank you very much for your loving opinion!

Very nice Volvo 960 with a mingle of subtle modernity and sleek boxy-styling as a farewell to rear wheel drive enthusiasts😉 !
    Be happy 😎!

We had a non-turbo 940 and I remember the suspension feeling rather crashy. Im shocked to see the wallowing of this 960 from a third person perspective.

Owned a 95. Reliable, not good for southern states humidity. Compressors were always breaking and over $1400 to replace. They also used environmental friendly glue for panels that peeled off.

The braking distance is the shortest I've seen in these reviews so far, even for such a large cat.

This was as expensive as a Corvette of the same era. Solid car, but not worth it.

    • @nwezetx1

Because the Corvette was once a cheaply made car with no refinement or build quality.

You're wrong, it was and is every bit worth it. Sure if you're looking for a sports car, pass this car up, this car is not a performance car.....it is an premium executive car designed for cruising in comfort. Not only that it will by far outlast any Corvette. 😎

      @@Aleiza_49 Curious, I've seen more C4s around than 960s.
I will admit that I value creature comforts and 'cruising' less than the average car buyer, but we are not talking about a Mercedes, Lexus or something - this is a Volvo. It has neither the luxury nor the badge for that sticker price.
