Though Perry struggled for decades with drug and alcohol addiction, his legacy endures as one of the most iconic television actors ever, and a man beloved by cast-mates and fans alike. He was 54 years old.

i love Mathew Perry and i hope he is at peace and i love this TMZ podcast but i wish they would have waited to do an episode about Mathew until we know everything about his death and how he died instead of doing it now but RIP Mathew, we miss you and love you.
Not only Matthew Perry was awesome, funny, smart, real, kind and generous, but he was also the most famous person when hired for Friends sitcom. And he was and is Friends. You take him out of the equation and there is no Friends. Others are also talented yes, but they're replaceable. You can't replace Matthew Perry.
After i read his book i wondered if this would be the inevitable end. Anti anxiety drugs are narcotic and people die on them everyday.

I never got into "Friends".
Many did, however.
I thought that peoples' preoccupation with Aniston's hairdo and the fact that folks thought of the characters as being ... (get this!) ... real people, was obsessive and disturbing.
So many TV characters were spoken of as though they actually existed. And, not only this but, other facets of many TV shows were so contrived , such as where people lived, the rents they paid, the NON-jobs they had, I could go on and on and ... (wait for it) ... on.
Goes to show how so many people are lacking purpose in their real lives and crave some kind of connection. But TV shows are fantasy, not reality. Nothing about Friends was remotely real. Occasaional escapism is fine for entertainment but too many people can't separate reality from fiction
Do people really want 5 of their friends to come over to their apartment and hang out and chat and drink coffee before they go to work each day? Sounds like a nightmare. That was a routine scene on every episode of Friends.
Marvin Gaye offered to do the album "What's Going on?" for free which ultimately convinced Berry Gordy to greenlight the album.
Wait. The Assistant was a Man? Not the female Assistant everyone assumed found him?
Matthew was an absolute alcoholic long before the show started. He said he had hoped the show would fix his problem, and it didnt.
Friends was not my favorite character from him I liked go on and Mr Sunshine those were my favorite
