The movie changed a lot from the book, especially how they improved Feyd-Rautha to match the protagonist. I really liked that part. The character was so menacing that I didn't even realize the actor played Elvis.
@JohnSmithyy365 I think OPs comment is bullshit. Denis' Dune adaptation is great, always loved his style, but I don't see any 'impovement' to match Paul. In the book Feyd Rautha was there from the very BEGINNING with Baron Harkonnen, and it was clear he was the 'anti paul'. The young successor to a great house. He was just as psychotic and ruthless in the books, but also intelligent, so was the Baron. They played up the psycho element more for visuals in the movies though. Only major difference is the harkonnens are bald in the movies and readheads in the books.
He wasn’t terrifying at all. He literally cried when he had to fight a non drugged malnourished hostage. His only other kills are defenseless girls. How does that make him tough or show skill? Are we saying that paul easily beats Jami’s because jamis would have to be the weakest freemen on that planet.

All these Elvis comments made me realize that since Paul drank the Water of Life and accessed all his genetic memories in his X and Y chromosomes, he would have memories going all the way back to the forgotten homeworld that only Bene Gesserit and very learned individuals know of as a historical factoid, the planet Terra (Earth), and he would, in fact, have access to memories of Elvis Presley. Just another reason I love Dune.
Feyd's tone in his voice is similar to that of the baron while Rabban is more brutish and doesn't sound like them. Like a cold deathly rasp that perfectly encapsulates the harkonnen
The parts where the Baron was in the pool and Feyd Rautha made Rabban kneel almost seemed like it had no transitions because of how seemless their voices matched each other.

Feyd is given a more honourable and considered depth of character by returning the phrase to Paul. I think Feyd's response in the book is something like "meet your death, fool." But by echoing Paul it shows us that the version of Feyd in the Vilneuve adaption isn't some comic, one-dimensional villain. It's a nice touch.

i find it interesting how the baron talks to him. he seems (sort of) interested about him. unlike rabban who is nothing more than a tool to him. note: yes I am aware that in the book he lusts for him, and yes I find that disgusting, because he is his nephew, but I am not quite sure (yet) how I should interpret the films version of that relationship.
Rabban has always been more of an all talk no walk person. Before dune, Rabban not only got a high tech fighter, one of its kind (because he killed the engineer) destroyed by the bene gesserit, as well as them using it to nlackmail the baron, who had a beef with them for being the reason that he looks like nikakoda avacoda. Not to mention, he's directly the reason why Duncan and Gurney joined Atreides, by killing the former's parents and raping the latter's sister personally, handing them ginaz level tacticians and diplomats. Rautha is threatening and cunning, and could probably pull off maneuvers leading to a situation like the destruction of atreides.
Those atupid pop ups at the end ruin everything they appear in. Why anyone thought that was a good idea is beyond me. Anyone know how to get rid of them?...
