While Tony is no longer quite so aggressively grouchy about life, he continues to struggle to fill the void left behind by his late wife. - Zábava
Imagine if Kath suddenly started the date with, "Hello who are you?" and proceeded to ask her dates odd questions about history
No 'hello,' just 'Who are you, and what's your game?'
Yep. 'Super olden times'.
Or she tells a story about her mate Paul and the time he look LSD with a couple of swingers
When she said "I'm so lonely" I felt that
Well, you better leave, cause youre bumming everyone out
Me too friend, (>'-' )>
So am I, but still not as lonely as when I used to sit on a sofa next to someone who didn't get me!
Best wishes, to you. 🌞
why I get bad days also but hope all is ok with
The way she slagged Colin off, she deserves it
“You got a practice?” “No need, done all that, got my certificate & everything” Love Kath 😂
🤣🤣🤣
that is a proper Philomena Cunk answer
I laughed my head off at that. And when he told her he was a barrister; You?
"No, I'm not one of them" I laughed even louder.
This woman is hilarious. I predict Someone in the future will see her absolute immaculate comedic timing & she'll get a dramatic role & shock us all. Remember, Olivia Coleman started in comedy
@@marynoonan6111 her facial expression after he asked her why she didn’t help the lady chocking always cracks me up 🥲😂 it’s almost like a spasm
Sorry, I'm on break. 😂
The scene at the laughter yoga broke my heart. Ironically, though, when people who repress their sadness attempt to laugh heartily, they eventually begin to sob and the deep sadness emerges. It's an interesting phenomenon...
You'd think they would have given her a hug and tried to make her feel better, just shows how superficial our culture is becoming these days.
Tbf, a real laughter yoga coach wouldn't have done that...
@@paulorocky It's ficton.
@@Coxy_Wrecked thank f u told us.
Yea he was a bigger c u next Tuesday than the teacher.
The yoga bit is heartbreaking, so well acted by DM.
I felt the teachers reaction was appalling
@@ConradMurkitt I agree. No one in that class seemed to care either.
@@ConradMurkitt totally agree!
At least she is going out! I just sit at home and am very lonely because all the locals hate me. Yes, very true about the yoga class lol 🙄
@@carolinewhitaker967 why do you say the locals hate you. Hate is a strong word.
I can’t take it seriously man, she’s actually gorgeous lol
Right? No way she's not getting hit on.
I'm gorgeous too, but nobody hits on me!
But it's' not meant to be taken seriously. That's why it's a comedy.
She cute for an inbread English bird. Check out her right ear. It's inside out. There are a couple other tell tale signs of British in breeding too. Can you find them all?
@@jinstinky501 damn youre a nasty one.
@@jinstinky501 Not a sign of in breeding, an inside out ear.
When she uttered the words 'I'm so lonely", I swear my heart broke a little bit. That one moment, for some reason, really stuck with me. I think it was the final, public admission, where she'd put this front on for so long and it just cracked. Astonishing show, and a stellar performance from Diane Morgan.
The class is a metaphor for where she is at in her life. Everyone around her is laughing, but nobody is interested in her or what she feels / thinks. It emphasises the loneliness that she feels inside. Brilliant acting from Diane once again.
Very true Chris the lawyer working in Costa coffee. I didn't appreciate the tramadol in my coffee when I had my meeting with Victoria. Everyone laughed at the woman drugged because people don't like her. It's not a nice feeling.
I was so infuriated when she broke, obviously sad and lonely, and all that guy did was ask her to leave. No empathy
I think it represents having to be around neurotypical people 😂 They make no sense. Why wouldn't they just watch something actually funny so their laughter would be real? So dumb.
@@danfish300 I think that's the joke. That the yoga instructor doesn't really care for the mental wellbeing of his clients.
@carolinewhitaker967 What? Your comment is quite confusing.
English isn't my first language, so I might've missed something.
But where is the context to the scene or OP's comment?
I don't know what a weak opioid in coffee has to do with the scene or the comment above.
"I'm off-duty" 🤣🤣🤣
Didn't think Kath would be the one I relate to the most since I share the views of Ricky/Tony, but I cried a lot after the end of the last episode because of her loneliness.
I think you better leave because you`re bringing the whole vibe down...
Why would u cry, ones like kath dont get lonely, they always think they deserve better which results in pointless relationships.
They seek meaningful relationships on the other hand what they dont realize is they're the ones who wrong.
Not ones they date with
She was so well written and acted, loved her.
Well good because Ricky and the rest of the cast was sooooo wondering what a tiny body of water was thinking. You know something bigger than a puddle but smaller than a lake. But less activity than a stream or River. How did you watch the show though? I mean water and electricity don’t mix
@@salvagemonster3612 Crank TV
Such a great arc her character goes through. From arrogant and emotionally detached; to connecting and being truthful with herself; and finally being vulnerable enough to be in a place where the right person came along at the end.
Great editing here to showcase the journey too.
Spot on. Nicely put.
The build up to her calling the teacher a C**T was genius, great series
This show. They took her character from an annoyance and the butt of the joke and humanized her, make you really care about her and ultimately emotionally connect with her. It's such a great show. I think it's time for a rewatch.
“Can I keep him?”
Got to say, that’s a phenomenal bit of writing and acting.
Honestly, it’s just so heartbreaking.
Kath dressed very well throughout this series.
she always does, she's got the body to rock anything!
When Pat (Joe Wilkinson) picked up Kath's letter, I knew they were destined to be together, and for me that meant a happy end to After Life. These two characters were the ones I worried about the most, and didn't want them to be alone and sad.
You didn't need to worry, they are only acting.
@@colinjava8447 the characters aren't acting
@@shaunelliott8583 The characters cease to exist once the actors stop acting, so I wouldn't worry about them.
@Macavity I don't think they are suited, she wanted someone good looking and successful, he's neither of those to be honest.
@Macavity I don't think they are suited, she wanted someone good looking and successful, he's neither of those to be honest.
Diane Morgan is just one of the very best comedy actresses we have. Total class
The teacher part was excellent very accurate I would say.
He needed an "elbow" to the nads
I’d give anything to have a Kath in my life she’s lovely 🥰
hope you find one mate
throughout the 3 seasons i shed a few tears every now and then but the "I'm so lonely" scene had me sobbing quite literally and I hated how they were all so cold and sent her out instead of hugging her
I really hate the yoga teacher.
@@Cyberpunk2024 in this instance it's the yoga teacher, in everyday life it's most people.
That's not being judgmental I hope, but whomever you encounter they also are dealing with sh*t in their own way as best they can.
She was horrible to the guy she used as her stand-in boyfriend. How can you have sympathy for her?
@@cockoffgewgle4993 Because we are all imperfect, and some of us are very forgiving and always looking for the good in our fellow humans.
That’s what these things are all about. Things like these help for those that never had a real issue in their lofe
“Kath” best one on the whole show…the acting, the voice etc. Hilarious
That's Diane Morgan's normal voice... haha.. but I know what you mean.. she's the best!
It's her real voice lol
*"hilurious"
They are all brilliant
Morgs is such a class act, smart, witty, incredibly believable and superb timing. Bet she scrubs up really well too 😊. And you can tell she’d be a right laugh. Marriage material right there ❤
The yoga scene was so moving and well acted, I hated the teacher though. Bless her ❤️
The Yoga teacher is played by Cole Anderson-James who’s a pretty popular CZcamsr nowadays.
the one with the teacher - best ever. We need to see those outtakes. And the 'Im lonely' is so nicely done by DM.
Outtakes are on here
@@curiousmind616 oh sorry I meant more of this part.
Kath’s an absolute legend
The way she shrugs her shoulders when she's asked why she didn't help 😂😂😂😂
I think Kath is absolutely gorgeous! I love how she does her hair, I would date her in a second! (Yes, I know she's only acting)
Any red-blooded man would date the gorgeous Diane Morgan / Kath / Philomena Cunk. Shame Diane is married.
Nice jugs as well 😂
Tim Key played the role of the teacher perfectly, I would argue that it needs a spinoff
he is too two-dimensional
I thought he was brilliant!
@@DrWhom It doesn't have to be in 3D.
He discusses it a bit on the Off Menu podcast - the entire episode is so funny, made me a Tim Key fan.
@@DrWhom That's because you are watching it in 2D.
I loved this show… had to watch it sometimes looking through my fingers in disbelief, but that was the absolute genius in writing, acting and production. The scene with the barrister at dinner was the best case in point.
She’s an amazing actress and comedian
I heard a few seconds of "Both Sides Now" and I've already got shivers.
It wasn't "both sides now" it was "the wind" by Cat Stevens.
The last episode of this series was bloody hard enough to watch but her line at 5:52 absolutely broke me.. Diane Morgan is extra special
First time I saw Kath in series 1, I thought she’d irritate the fuck out of me. Come the end of series 3, I loved just wanted to give her a hug and a cup of tea and tell her I’m here if she needs to talk.
The lawyer seemed like a good guy.
He was, just sometimes people aren't meant to be together.
@@jamespoole3531 Things probably could've went well between him and Kath if she didn't lie to him.
The 'I'm so lonely' part broke me.
I would love to see a spin off with her, she's absolutely hilarious 😂
check out Mandy -its written by her too.
also check out Cunk on Britain
Also the Philomena Cunk bits. It's absolutely hilarious.
and Philomena Cunk!
Search “Philomena Cunk”. Diane Morgan is genius.
I really like the voice of Diane Morgan. Her voice is quite soothing to my non-English ears.
It's adorable. Lol
You know ironically that scene with the teacher really made me reassess my attitude to silly things because even though I agreed with him 100% and would say shit like that shamefully it took me that long to realise that just because its stupid to me doesn't mean it's not important to someone else. And even if I don't want to hear it there's no need to be that fucking harsh
This whole series was right and exact, spot on process in my eyes.....brilliant, best I seen in ages
Love how Ricky sticks with actors from previous shows
A beautifully acted role in a perfect show... Rip After Life
Absolutely loved Tim Key’s character in this!
Love Kath to bits. She's fantastic. Date with teacher.... hilarious.
That was so hard to watch though right ? You just want to suffocate those people
@@Metalcorable l hear you.👍👍👍
The "absolute bunt" (nod to Eric Idle) joke was so perfectly set up and delivered. Gut-buster!
Beautifully written and beautifully acted.
Fantastically acted. As for Kath, when she called him a c*nt, I laughed out so loud. Another classic part of this brilliant series.
Best Tim Key cameo yet. The detail he brought to a one-scene role is wonderful. Love him in Alan Partridge, too. Diane Morgan is brilliant in this show as well!
Tim Key is a wonderful actor.
"off duty" lmao 😂😂😂
Afterlife is the best series iv ever seen Well done Ricky and crew 👏
Such a great character. Love this show.
I love the character Kath plays, she is so lovely 😍
God I friggen LOVEEEE Diane Morgan!!
Diane Morgan ... What a Woman!
The woman choking and she says “I’m off duty “ 😂😂😂
Oh wow! That just took me on a whole journey! I can’t believe it made me tear up at the end
Watched yesterday, wanted to hug her so much 💗😭
I just watched as well just now i wanted to hug her as well❤❤❤😢😢😢
How cute are Pat and Kath together? I loved Kath, my favourite right through the series ❤ when she said the C word, what a classic 😆
I absolutely loved this series!! Good job, Ricky!
Probably my second favorite character, right behind Pat. Ironic they connect at the end.
powerful, sensitive, touching. Love it!
I can't stop coming back to this video because that bit where she says "I'm so lonely" just fucking hits me where I live.
Philomena and Gervais. Excellent!
The sad part is people will get turned off with some of the language specifically f**k and c**t and not continue watching. And that would be a damned shame as this is one of the best series I've ever seen. It's comical, sad, and that ending brought me to tears. It's a beautifully told story and you just have to look past the words some might find offensive (after all, that's how a lot of Brits talk) and watch for the beautiful story and message it tells. Oh and I love Kath. I recently finished Cunk on Earth on Netflix, a mockumentary, where Diane plays Philomena Cunk. It is absolutely hilarious.
Best series,on tv,EVER!
Diane Morgan is going to be a big star !!! She is brilliant !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic !!!!
Diane ❤❤❤
One of the best written comedies drama for a long time.
BLESS HER HEART
She's beautiful!
Great actress, great character.
I just want to hug her.
Diane Morgan is a comedy legend in our house. We love her in Motherland and Mandy too.
But she’s mainly known for as Philomena Cunk
The teacher part was one of my favorite scenes in the whole show, really fucking funny
I love Kath, she's absolutely briljant, so much humor, . . . 😍💪😎
Ricky is a genious.
I relate to her so much. When she was at the reading. I bawled because she was reading me not just Kath.
I believe the word you're looking for is "bawled".
"Balled" means something quite different. Not bad, just *very* different.
Sorry to trample on your emotional post. Couldn't help it.
@@mollygrubber I don't know what you are talking about. I spelled it correctly.
Kath's a Legend 🤣👍
I cried at the end scene 🙈
Diane Morgan is the best ❤
She is so stunningly beautiful
Sidekick Simon never disappoints.
Bloody love her! 😂
Few series made my cry and laugh as much as after life.
The best show ❤
Brilliant as always
The cream of British Comedians and that Gervais guy.
The ending was fantastic !
Totally!
Wow! Didn’t expect to be sobbing by the end…
Love this show
I'm not an emotional person. I very rarely get teary eyes (forget about crying). That Yoga scene, as unrealistic as it was (no way the instructor would react that way), got me so frigging close to crying when I first saw it.
Funnily enough, most dramas I see get nowhere near that reaction from me, I think it's because it felt so real in After Life, which is something reoccurring in this show (the kid with cancer was another moment)
Most movies overdo it, with a whole orchestra shouting "PLEASE CRY NOW", and cinematic shots in great looking but unnatural angles, and the whole ordeal feels fake even with top tier actors. This show was so authentic, and I think it's why it hits so hard. I see real life, I don't see a movie/show
I love her so much!!!
Diane Morgan is a legend
Everyone should watch Diane Morgan in Mandy , such a great actress, very funny
Or Motherhood
love the lady in the care home sooooo true
She’s amazing
Another hilarious lady from across the pond.
Season 3 Kath story, thoroughly enjoyed it!
The yoga teacher's reaction to Kath's heartbreaking "I'm so lonely" was probably the most I've laughed at anything ever
eeps that last bit got me bawlin'
brilliant
love this show…
me & my mate Paul watched it twice. Oh, & me Aunt Carol joined us during the 2nd go round
