The pedal steel is such an expressive instrument. The unsettled harmonies of your vocals and the uniquely powerful expressiveness of the steel reveal the deeply emotional nature of the lyrics. This is a beautiful capture of overpowering sadness and loss. Even me, proudly rejecting emotion, find this supremely moving and relatable. This is proper meaningful art.
