Tonight’s tale of terror is all four parts of the bizarre and wonderful ‘Dead by Dawn’, a fantastic story by Terra627 based on the ‘Last of Us’ computer game, kindly shared with me via my sub-reddit and read to you here with the author’s express permission:

That was a sprawling, intense ride. I don't recall ever seeing Wendigo and zombies linked, how cool. Your characters are alive with backstory, sympathetic and familiar feeling. So sorry about your dad, really taken before his time to the detriment of the world, honestly. Rasputin was a real bastard, I hope demons poke him with pickle forks until the trumpets sound. I know this will sound so stupid but I found this channel at one of the hardest times I’ve had in my life. Got away from an extremely toxic/abusive person and finding my way as a single mom with no family support or family help. It’s been overwhelming so being able to escape into stories narrated by someone with such a smooth voice has made this transition much much easier for me. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!

He's called "Doc" for a reason ;) It doesn't sound stupid.. I haven't seen many 'got away from toxic relationship' comments but many people here use these stories as a break from difficult realities, while others use them for sleep therapy or inspiration for their own artistic endeavors. @@raellskys4083 Actually the title says "Dead by Dawn" Epic 'Last of Us' Creepypasta. The only inclusion for Until Dawn is in the word dawn. No one could possibly know the title is alluding to Until Dawn until they start listening to the story.
So yeah, pretty sure I read the title quite thoroughly. Maybe you didnt?

Dear Dr, your next podcast should be called “The One About the Cats,” since you have so many stories throughout the years that feature cats. I’ll work on making a full list for you, but here are just a few: “The Phantom Cat of Black Mountain,” “Unexplained Power Outages,” and then one about a guy who visits an abandoned town where he finds a disease-riddled demon cat. Also, “I Think My Neighbor’s Cat is a Witch,” and also the recent one with “I Made First Contact and Now I’m Dying.”

This is a great story, but honestly while she's at the library why isn't she dressed to not come back. The sheer insanity of going to work at all instead of gtfo of Dodge. Excellent narration.
of all the "supernatural creatures" I hate Windegos I dont know why but they bug me the most... maybe its because I think they are one of the most likely real creatures... great job doc well read
@Tom. A year ago, I hadn't found this channel so I am happy the Dr gives links to prequels and all. Actually I was just going to say what scares me the most. Not Wendigos but cannibals! The wendigo can't be called a human but a cannibal was a fully fledged homo sapient before resorting to eating his kind. Words to describe them fail me.

The moment I saw ‘Last of Us’ I was prepared to cry like a baby
The game this story is based on still Emotionally resonates with me 10 years after playing it. With in 30 minutes of playing the beginning of the game it hit me so hard in the feels I was In tears, it was a emotional roller coaster all the way to the end it was a perfect story in my opinion and that’s why I will never play the second game. And I hope HBO can do Half as good of a job and stay away for the events of the second game when there interpretation comes out

Pretty sure he reads off a screen. I'm sure he once said he had to take a break as he was struggling to read off a screen due to the light

Okay, just hit part 3 in the video. I'm really loving how big the changes are to the story and characters. It's more like the last of us is the background setting, and until dawn is really the "meat and potatoes" of the story, so to speak. And of course cant leave out our amazing narrator. You bring every story I've listened to you read to new heights, and the way you capture the emotions of the characters is astounding. I cant stand listening to other readers now lol.
