So glad you did a gen1 1200 mate, you did the bike yourself and the next owner proud. Nice one 👌

Thank you John. I think it'll be very old very battered and needing lots of love . No idea what it'll be yet but I keep looking.

Looking really nice, it’s a shame it has to go but needs must. I spent 1½ years re-wiring and restoring a Moto Guzzi V50 only to have the family car pack up so had to sell it. Life goes on, take care of yourself and good luck, Chris

Hey John , yes I sold all the luggage to the new owner . He was about to go touring around Europe so he bought the lot and the custom seat also ..
He and his wife did 4000 miles straight away and reported no issues at all . He sent me pictures of them and the bandit fully loaded from all over Europe. It's nice to know I did a good job on the bike ..
I'm sure you'll enjoy yours . I've had 3 bandits and love their simplicity .
      Peace and love brother 👍🏻☮♥️

@@springy-2112 thanks springy for the fast reply yes u sure did a good job on her . My one I bought it from a guy in his 70s he had it sitting in his barn this last 10 years not good for any bike has only 3k Miles on clock totally original . I have stripped and cleaned carbs renewed all carb gaskets set float heights carbs still of bike on my bench this last month as I have another main bike on road so no hurry . Hoping it will fire up nice first time when carbs go back in . I also did a bench test with carbs for any leakage. Good job I did as I found slight leak from 2 even with new float needles and seats universal I may add. Since then I have googled leakage from new seats and found that I need to polish the inside of the new seats before fitting with a cotton bud with a little autosol someone else had same problem with the universal seats . This seems to of cured the minor leak i was getting

If you put the cotton bud in a battery drill it polishes the seat nicely .. ( I bet you already knew that ) I picked that up from Mustie1.
I would advise changing the coils too if you can afford to .. I got mine from wemoto . They ALWAYS ! die on bandits with age .. It's Suzuki law !! just like the vent blocking on the fuel filler cap and the bike dying after 10 minutes as a vacuum forms in the tank .. been there too!
      👍🏻☮♥️

@@springy-2112 yes I used my battery drill with the buds done a nice job all the black came of the new seats hard to believe u need to polish even new seats but i guess you learn something new everyday . Good tip on the coils I may go there next
