On the other hand a lipstick shade that is nude on someone with darker skin can end up looking really bright on a lighter skin tone. But it really depends. Then again im not her so i dont know her true intention

The first one I would have probably thought I’d like on myself but then the second and third shade came through and looked good on all three ladies! Since I have to chose just one, I think I really liked what the third purple/nude shade was giving. It looked amazing on everyone!
This just really highlights two things: 1. All skin tones are beautiful, and there are colors that fit our skin tones and some that look better on others, and that’s 100% okay. Embrace it, don’t force it. 2. Darker shade representation in the beauty department is absolutely necessary, and still needs improvement. We need more shades for foundations, concealers, and lip shades!!! For the Snow White fair, and for the Princess Tiana’s of the world, we need more representation. EVERY woman should be able to easily find their makeup and be able to feel like the queens that they are! (P.S. I know I was mostly talking about women, but for my non-female makeup wearers out there, you’re included as well ❤️)

I use make up made from natural products only, wich makes the selection 10 times smaller. And let me tell you, the shaderange is sometimes less then 4 colors 😅, aside from that a lot of times the lightest colors still are not a good match for me (as I always have used the lightest shade even with non natural make up.. usually it’s too orange, I have a pink undertone too so that looks extra weird)

Omg imagine if there was a thing where everyone can just go to a place and make their own makeup!! Like everything to lipstick, foundation, concealer, primer, etc. I would totally pay to have that experience 😁
If I recall, there was an event like beauty convention before covid where a brand promoted their machine to make a custom foundation. I dont remember which brand it was, but I dont think they use the machine permanently, it was just showcased for the convention and then its over. However its just custom in pigment, in the color, the formula is not.
I really want to get a color analysis for this exact reason, they give you all your best shades. I cannot for the life of me figure out if I’m a deep autumn or deep winter 😂

The last one for sure. It gave a fabulous nude for the girl who designed it and was a popping dark, matte color on the women. Maybe makeup designers should start with what will work for darker skin tones and work their way down. If it works for dark skin, your guaranteed to get something that works for everyone else.

Third one perfectly suited all 3 of you. It had a medium purplish nude tone which is ideal for brown skin type.

There's a machine you can buy that lets you make your oven lipstick down to the shade but I think it's like crazy expensive
