One of the most important mindset a survivor should always have is to remember that looping is all about buying time for your team, and remembering that you don't always have to live through a chase if it benefits the others
Especially if going down and taking a hook allows your team to open both gates. This allows you for an escape route off the hook. Killers aren't stupid and usually will push you in the direction away from one exit gate at end game. This is why opening both is important. If he has noed this also buys your team time to find it and come get you. Taking a hook isn't necessarily a loss for you especially at end game. If your team sucks they might just leave you though. You'll know by end game. "Dont you leave me maverick!" Ggs and good luck.

@@chromehunter2074maybe 2 years ago getting hooked at endgame wasn’t a loss for you but I started playing a little over two months and now getting hooked after the gens are powered almost guarantees that you will get camped

Yup. I remember old WoW with fake casting to bait their counterspell, so you can start casting for real. Often people at low ranks were so bad their reaction time was so slow they happened to completely miss your fake casting and barely pressing it fast enough to counter your real cast.
I remember sometimes having more difficulty playing a caster against dumb dumbs than pros, because you just didn't know what they will do (because even those players had to idea what they were doing.).

PSA: with the new patch, animations have changed. When a survivor is running, their head remains stationary no matter the up/down position. So looking up while faking a window vault is moot.

this video is incredibly helpful thank you so much, but i do have to say my top problem especially getting hooked is i always always ALWAYS go to second phase on my first hook, my teammates dont rescue me and thats caused me to deleted the game. i just recently downloaded it again and i think this video will help me not go down as fast. so thank you very much

That’s nothing I’ve lost count of the amount of times teammates have left me to die on the first hook after distracting the killer for a significant length time.
I recommend using kindred.

@@jayking1194 Typically hold A or D then use my mouse to turn. Sometimes transition to S and move my mouse to look back, depends on the loop and if my view is obstructed. Small/short loops tho, just hold a direction and follow the wall with your mouse movement :)
I've seen quite a few looping guides so far, but as far as I remember you're the first one to address different vault speeds. I have noticed that I sometimes vault slower but I didn't know what this was dependent on. so thanks for explaining this. great video :)

Tip: if you're holding an item, a good killer can tell when you've committed to a vault, because your item will disappear from your hand when you press the vault button

@@marylight098 only real way to avoid it is to not be holding an item in chase. Otherwise there's no way to stop the killer from noticing if they know to look for it

When looping the long wall pallet tile, you want to run around the long wall of it so you are able to react to what the killer does and the short eide the killer can mind game you. For a killer tip, if you find the survivor is running around the short end feel free to turn around and go for a curving lounge. Also if the survivor drop the pallets you NEED to break this, good survivors will run this sincenl it is basically an infinite when the pallet down. With Docotor you can shock before they drop the pallet or shock to stop them from vaulting. Nurse can just blink through this and ignore it, but be careful the survivor might try to mind game sound and eye sight, same goes for spirit. Chain Saw killers can bait as if they will be chasing the survivor to then break the pallet or can just got for chain saw. Trapper and Hag can play a their trap, but most survivors will just sprint to the next loop if they see you do it. Death Slinger can get an injure when pallet is down, but is unable to put the survivor in the dying state. Huntress you just want to go for the throw the moment they will be inbtween the walls, after that hit if they drop the pallet break it. Legion if in frenzy just wait out the pallet drop then slide for injure, if not in frenz just force the pallet drop as soon as possible and break it. Every other liller is basically a break on drop to be honest.

one thing to note about looping on cursed maps that have holes in the floor, such as hawkins; if you drop down a tall hole ahead of the killer without having balanced landing, in some situations the best option is to stay still and crouch, as their hitbox will phase with yours until they walk away, hiding your model inside of them and giving you a good opportunity to walk away in the opposite direction to get some distance or even lose the killer. won't work 100% of the time because some killers will check to see if you've done this when they drop, but it's something to consider.
(the reason the hitboxes do this was a fix that was implemented in order to stop players from holding killers hostage on the floor hole in backwater swamp [and maybe another map i did not hear about]. killers would not be able to fall through if a survivor was standing under them, but they also could not hit said survivor with most killer powers being non-projectile, trapping the killer)
This may be something that’s very situational but what about going underneath the window when a killer vaults I feel like that’s a useful tip against banboozle
Window tech can be very hard to pull off but it's hilarious when it works haha.

You forgot about pallet faking and bloodlust. I think these are two mechanics that new players seem to fall for a lot both on the killer and survivor side.
honestly my biggest issue as a console player as killer and surivior is chasing around a loop while hugging the wall without getting caught and losing extra loops or a pallet stun which you'd otherwise make and I really don't have an answer for it. I've the game on my laptop and it is much easier to loop the wall tightly without getting stuck but I don't want to lose all of my progresion

I loop long walls slightly different. Instead of vaulting window on the 2nd time, i axtually run through past it and see if killer will follow. If he does i run back to pallet and try to hit vault again. Usually works.

9:50 if the killer chases you the other way around the window and you have enough distance you can loop through the pallet and back to the window as well, making it even safer than the 50/50 when just looping the window alone, at least for m1 killers. Great video c:

You forgot the GOATed infinite Z and C walls. You can find these tiny C-walls at the edge of reworked Coldwind Farm. Also 4-walls.

Good tips. As a 6 devotion player myself, combine these with knowing the following and u can average out 2 gens being done per chase:
-memorize the realm's and map's with main building and map specific structures.
-learn and memorize the strong vault loops there are in those.
-use them as ur first choice if u r near by and chain them to other tiles mentioned in above video.
-u can use perk that shows u windows and just find the near-infinite loops usually found in main buildings, just focus on learning them so u memorize.
FOR example: my favorites are grandmas cookbook and haddonfield. The houses are basically optional main building near infinite loops especially the pumpkin house if the basement window is open u can chain it with the upstairs window and palletes near by, the swamp main building is strongest imo if its not the big boat, u get a windows up stairs and a long L wall downstairs u can chain together for 2 min then proceed to nearby palletes after they get blocked plus u have the 2 logs and possible long L wall in the form of the docks. I found all these thri using the window finding perk n just playing a few games looking for them ignoring the match n i just noted them in phone so its easier to memorize. Some maps are trash and have no main building or no strong main building loop like big boat swamp or buildingless coldwind farm. But trappers, hags, good nurses, spirits and billy could neutralize these tho.

I have an overall decent looping and reaction time, but I think my pathing is too poor to keep up running to the best next spot possible after finishing the previous looping tile as I always find myself in deadzones or in the open
Try using windows of opportunity to have better awareness of where to go. You’ll get better with practice and map knowledge as well :)
