Form is vitally important, but that doesnt mean there is a universal form, but you need to know all the parts of your form, and practice doing those consistently, and knowing when you did or didnt hit your form, and to know what part of it was off.
Very true, another reason why the reps are important. You’ll never know what’s off or how to fix it if you haven’t spent a ton of time actually doing it.
Could you make a video analyzing Steph curry’s shooting form?
Hey man I need some advice… Should I start shooting threes?
Yeah
Got to shoot the exact same shot meaning form has to be identical every time make or miss the form has to be consistent
I disagree
@@VisionDrivenBasketball u can’t get better if ur shot changes every time
When you’re not a great shooter yet, that’s true. You have to build a foundation first. In order to be a great IN GAME shooter though, you have to be able to adapt your shot to the situation. This means slight changes depending on where a defender is, your momentum, where the pass is, what direction you’re going, etc…the most skilled individuals in any motor skill, shooting included, actually adjust their form or technique rep to rep way more than an average or below average individual does. But because they are more skilled they actually do that in order to be able to complete that skill at a more advanced level, proven by many scientific studies.
@@VisionDrivenBasketballIt varies, Steph is literally the best shooter ever but he almost never changes his form if you compare him to booker, who shoots with a very low setpoint on uncontested threes and with about forehead level on contested threes and midrange, even raising his setpoint extremely high on very close contested shots, but you wouldn't say he is a better shooter.
It feels really different shooting when theres a hand in my face
3 years playing and my best points made in game was 2
