I'll download the weapons pack this afternoon, but on completing the Rough Landing mission yesterday I did think it was too easy, far too easy AND too many Medical Kits/ Bandages stashed around the map. The tanks were outragously misused in this mission as well. The level designer should have looked back at the Regliano Viaduct mission in SE4 on how to design th mission with the Half track and infantry at one end of the bridge and the patrolling armoured car at the other end made it a much more difficult challenge. This mission could have had a armoured train on the bridge with us having to detonate a stachell charge in the bridge supports (see once again Regliano Viaduct in SE4). The map itself was well laid out and designed but I just saw missed opportunities in this level on how to make it so much more playable. Saying all of that, I'll happily buy the next DLC mission! Yes it was definitely disappointing, especially considering it was clearly inspired by Regilino Viaduct. In both mapps the bridge is the central point of the map, drawing the players attention. In Rough Landing, there is basically nothing to do or see on the bridge. In SE 4, there's multiple exciting routes to get to bridge, rig it to blow up itself and the massive gun on it, get to a safe distance and watch the fireworks. One of these scenarios sounds a lot more fun than the other.
A rescue mision would not be bad...rescuing Charlie...etc... A misision like " save churchill" which was fun. This is in its way of becoming Hitman...repetitive.
Thanks for all you do to update us on all the latest.👍 I’m beginning to think it really doesn’t matter what weapons anyone uses anymore. The levels are so easy that I’ve taken to just completing them with only one weapon to at least make it interesting.
The Gustav is notacably 2nd place to most other SMGs, but it's still fun to use as a spray and pray gun at
I would've been happier with the trench gun if:
The bayonet worked
If it was in fact an 1897 Winchester Trench Gun, which it isn't
If one of the challenges wasn't glitched
Yup, now we just have to wait for that patch.
@@BrutalBarracuda I find weird we need a patch for this, it should be all fine from the get go, but I guess being from a free gun it's not such a big deal 🤷♂️
I personally love the trench gun and it is the 1897 model but it’s the one with the 20 inch barrel rather than a 28 inch barrel you can’t clear a trench with a 28 inch barrel shotgun it’s too unwieldy for cqb and when it gets patched oh boy am I going to have some fun pigsticking everyone and the rough landing dlc is good but with conqueror they could have done more I mean the falaise pocket had columns of German vehicles retreating and being attacked by tanks and aircraft couldn’t we have had an objective to ambush a column and kill all the soldiers I mean the maps are very sparsely populated on d day there were thousands of German troops on the Normandy coast is it due to technical limitations that they can’t render the assets or that they just don’t care anymore?

I'm happy to have the Trenchgun, and finally, seeing the Karl Gustav 45 in another video game is exciting.
The derringer, when making noise for fun is simply.. fun?
Maybe I'll make it a personal challenge to complete a map using only this gun 🤣

I agree all the weapons can have a place in how you want to play the game - making it more challenging.
Tonight I’m on Secret Weapons, authentic , paper clip as primary, bowl of jelly as secondary and a party popper pistol. No mines but I’ll take a banana skin for setting traps ……….. I’m not as confident as I’d like to be though to be honest!

Best Snipe Elite game for me was SE4 Survival mode -Facility. I played that to death it was so much fun.

Would've been a cool Easter egg if the trench gun was free and spawned as a power weapon, but you had to unlock it for yourself by picking it up and killing an invading player with it.

I don’t run suppressors and love the trench gun. With slugs and patients I can hit target out to 55mm.
The point where the Derringer flips from a challenge to a trolling attempt are the barrel requirements: 80 double kills, 30 of those from a distance. Of course there is no point in this, but more importantly I doubt there 80 opportunities to do this without grinding reloads.
If the designers want to make a 4 person coop campaign Wild West cowboy game with a vs mode then I'm already throwing money at it in advance. Let us test out a lever action .357 magnum carbine, or rifle!

In my game the Carl Gustav M/1945 have the highest damage of 60 (without any gun customizations), it is a bit louder (67m) than the Stengun (39m) but the Stengun have 57 in damage, so I'm using the Carl Gustav with the casket magazine and I like it this SMG.

@@BrutalBarracuda Never mind... I forgot, my CG have a reinforced overpressure receiver, so base damage should be 52 , so I was wrong! 🤐

I like the Gustav, but it chews through ammo rather quickly.

I'm not as harsh on the Gustav as you seem to be, but yeah, not too impressive either. One thing I dislike is it has a challenge for kills over 80m to unlock the extended barrel. I suck at this specific challenge. Shooting ennemies at 80m+ using a secondary doesn't come naturally for me. Anyway, just personal nitpick. I'm sure some users find it easy. The Erma 36 has the same challenge.
That's why you run around and knock people out, stack them up next to a barrel, shoot the barrel at 80+m away. 😀
@@user-AdamSmith After I wrote my comment I ended up looking for tips to get this challenge and found the same suggestion on Reddit. Worked pretty well, saving and reloading. Did the Erma 36 too. I remember I used to look for tricks to unlock all the weapon challenges in SE4.

is there an xray for the trench gun? I have been playing with high xray chance with trench gun cuz that would be gnarly af and its not happening.
Im pretty sure I've seen it but i cant be certain. Its very rare if it is possible though.
is it me but I can't seem to download the Trench Gun weapons pack even though I purchased Season Pack One and Season Pack Two...?
That's because it isn't part of any season pass, just search through the store and download it manually.
@@BrutalBarracuda so ok, I've gone to the Playstaion Store and downloaded the Trench gun.... but! I cannot seem to unlock the Stock Sheel Loops after Scoring more than 30 Trench Gun Kills Over 10m. In fact, it hasn't recorded a single one and still shows 0/30. is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong? Everything else is unlocked and I've even got the Gold Medal.
@@TeriWilde Yes, the shell loops and the bayonet for the trench gun are currently bugged. The shell loops cannot be unlocked and the bayonet does not actually work. We are waiting for a patch.
@@BrutalBarracuda any news on the bug fix? the Trench Gun Bullet Loops are the only weapons item left to unlock and it's making my OCD itch... haha.
WHERE OH WHERE IS the Pilot by The WATERFALL.??? I can only get 3 METERS from him.?????? I've looked all over for a cave or hiding spot. HELP.???
I hate the gustav because in order to unlock the only thing that makes it semi useful u have to get 60 kills with it past 60meters which is actually impossible

I’m noticing a disturbing new trend where veteran players of the series are starting to really take the piss out of SE5 now… particularly the DLC. I think Rebellion has lost the plot. Would love to know what’s actually going on in that company. How you get to the stage where you are releasing DLC that is bugged is beyond me…
I just downloaded this pack but when I go to Weapon select I see no options for the shotgun or the pistol I’m on the series x???

@@BrutalBarracuda that’s what I did. When you click on the item it tells you that it’s already downloaded. Then when I open up my manage Files for the game everything is checked off as downloaded. Do you have to do something in game or is it supposed to automatically be available?

Rebellion is missing the point...useless weapons all the time. They should bring in super weapons for the campain..they should understand that campaing is yours alone for you to enjoy...even if they don't let you take them to multiplayer . For me the BEST weapon so far is the carbine DLC.
I still think SE4 is a far better game. Far to few enemies, silly tanks in SE5. I was expecting so much more from SE5, but meh....
