    I've been diagnonised with vernal conjunctivitis, for the past 4 years it always pops up in the summer season (from March) and ends in November.I veen using pataday and eye lubricant (Artificial tears).
    I live in a humid climate(in India) don't know if this can be treated or not.
    What's your take on this, can this be treated? (Iam 26 yrs old right now)

    I'm getting what you call brown spots in my eye can you tell me what's wrong with that they look like little little gnats of flies around your face and you slip you see him and then they float away somewhere else and he can tell the friend of mine that those were called floaters is this true can you get back to me and let me know what can I do I'm going up here to see my regular eye doctor I'm not regular eye doctor but my people I got my eyes from and he's going to look at this for me is this a good thing what should I do?

      Hi, floaters after cataract surgery are very common, sometimes because you are seeing better and therefore noticing them more easily. However any new floaters need attention and you should have a dilated retinal exam with your eye doctor to rule out retinal pathology. good luck!

    I was diagnosed with allergic conjuctivitis 3 weeks ago and been using Ketotifeno antihistamine for 3 weeks and I was told by the doctor to use it for 4 weeks but I wanna stop in 3 weeks of usage to see if my eyes get better without the medication because I haven't noticed any difference with the medication. What should I do????????
    By the way I got this allergic conguctivitis thing at work almost 2 months ago as a custodian using cleaning chemicals but I quit as soon as my eyes started hurting . It's my first time ever having this allergic conguctivitis at age 24. What should I do????? Please respond and be honest thank you

      If you have used ketotifen for 3 weeks and have not noticed any difference, it most likely is not effective to you. One hallmark of allergic conjunctivitis is itchiness. If you have no itchiness, ketotifen will not likely work. Contact your doctor for alternative medication or diagnosis. hope you get better soon.

    I have a 10 yr old boy diagnosed with vernal conjunctivitis and his eye doc prescribed ketotifen twice a day. It got better but now is flaring up. He’s had symptoms for nearly 2 weeks and another doc tried steroid drops but they didn’t help. Any advice please? Please respond and many thanks.

      @bostoneyeblink2205  Před rokem

      vernal conjunctivitis can be hard to treat, and long-term use of anti-histamine drops such as ketotifen or pataday may be needed. Steroid drops should be used under the supervision of an eye doctor. The next step of treatment may involve cyclosporine eye drops which are costly, but most insurance will cover if the doctor's office submits prior authorization (in the US)

    *How long is “long term” before damages come?*

    • @bostoneyeblink2205
      @bostoneyeblink2205  Před rokem +1

      It depends. For some, corneal damage never happens. For others, maybe a few months are enough to cause damages. In addition, damages may be reversible if the disease is treated

      @@bostoneyeblink2205 I got slammed with conjunctivitis caused by scratching a foreign body in the eye. Eye pain and irritation resulted, and this led to redness in my L eye. So I had to use Pataday, and this resolved this in a few hours.

    Can allergic conguctivitis be healed by itself with no treatment and medication???????

    • @bostoneyeblink2205
      @bostoneyeblink2205  Před rokem

      It depends. If the allergen is removed from your environment and no longer acts on your eyes, it is possible to get better without any treatment
