No Moeller, Push Pull or Flying Finger and other Gimmicks, but a seriously good Grip, Biceps, Forearms, Wrist, Finger Technique and a lot of Practice and Passion over years = fast as Hell...
Ronald's signature and voice is so special, but it's nice to see him pull his DC and BC inspirations.... He is an amazing musician! God bless my man! -G
One of the very least drummers who is really a Genius on his Instrument he really masters his Instrument, controls it for 100%! A real Master. It's not your Eric Moor or Tony Royster or who else you think is the real Master on drums HE is one of'em. Chris Coleman and a couple more... Ronald Bruner is a real Master on his instrument he owns the game , he plays what ever he wants without any licks or trained behaviors or any kind of rehearsed patterns or licks. He is INCREDIBLE
@SlicksTheEnigma One track is a cover of "Protos Cosmos" by Allan Holdsworth But the first and third track are tracks Ronald composed himself if I'm not mistaken the third track is called "Take the time"
@TheERnIeRocKs Tama Starclassic Bubinga (Black Silver Racing Stripe finish) with a Tama Starphonic Bubinga Snare drum and a Tama Starphonic Brass side snare.
@Moog167 year I know, but i really doesn't look like any of them.. but yes, bubinga snares sounds awesome! The omni-tune bubinga sounds great too - nice crack to it :P
@BBlessingGod The Tama Warlord snare series include 5 snares called the Titan,Spartan,Praetorian,Masai, and Valkyrie Yes Ron's snare could be a custom one but it has the lugs of a warlord snare. And he does use the Warlord Athenian or Valkyrie(it says on the Tama website). The masai is my personal fave.
In reply to Alexander Bulthuis and cbmuzik ... You're right Alexander!!!!!! He was being very disrespectful and acting like an ass!!! He should never have mocked that guys voice like that. But he is like that.. he is extremely conceited and and obnoxious! I have met him.. I know!! He is an amazing drummer but his character is ugly sadly!! :/
I have met him after a gig and he was absolutely funny and available to everyone, he said goodbye to me with an hand sign, I gave him a different one and started mocking my hand sign. He just likes to play. In this case he was joking about the mic's sound not about the guy's voice.
12 years later and this video is still mind blowing
This dude is gonna be remembered as a generational drummer. Maybe he already is...

My GOAT
Oh my god. Ronald makes the simplest beats sound so goooooood

agree with you
Muy gran batero ronald bruner.felicitaciones!! De lo mejor!!!#
This is gold! thank you for posting
He was referring to the quality of the mic...not the guy's language.
Thanks for your answer! That's such a shame. One of the most beautiful rides I've heard too.
thanks for posting awesome stuff!
Thnx for sharing! This guy is brilliant
thanks very much for this, awesome stuff! very funny guy too!
So inspiring 🙌🏾
Inhumanly good....
The main crash song like the crash from Dennis Chambers "In the Pocket" video ... WHich I have been looking for that sound to this day!!
Welp...this video is gonna last me for awhile. Thanx for posting!
@SlicksTheEnigma One track is a cover of "Protos Cosmos" by Allan Holdsworth

Phenomenal skills but ego is exploding trough the roof.
Unfortunately I tend to think that way , too. Sad, because he's so unbelievable behind the kit
awsome
This is something else
Sick
these are his tracks( in that, his homeboy let him use them). he always uses these same tracks. he used them on the modern drummer fest video.
i like how he has his own stile i don't see anyone play like him some people try to copy other people's stile
13:11 Greg Howe, Dennis Chambers, and Victor Wooten haha so awesome to play along to that!! Great album check it out
What's the title of the album? Any others you would recommend in the fusion genre? Tryin to listen to as much as I can!
the original is tony williams, proto cosmos..the album is called lifetime...for fusion stuff check out billy cobham, george duke, and stanley clarke
Why no drum mics
That groove at 11:58 has haunted me for months.
The kid asked him what exercises ronald does. Not how many times does ronald practice, or for how long. The translator fumbled.
He so crazy on drums cause he has alot of discipline on the instrument i can tell
When Ron was naming his influences, did the laugh get translated as well.. or am I tripping?
@TheERnIeRocKs Tama Starclassic Bubinga (Black Silver Racing Stripe finish) with a Tama Starphonic Bubinga Snare drum and a Tama Starphonic Brass side snare.
The tunes 13.11 is Allan Holdsworth 1979
It's Alan Pasqua who composed Proto-Cosmos not Allan Holdsworth!
@Moog167 year I know, but i really doesn't look like any of them.. but yes, bubinga snares sounds awesome! The omni-tune bubinga sounds great too - nice crack to it :P
I need Ron to tune all my snares !!!!!!
Was hoping to get a good look at it but is he playing the Starphonic Bell Brass in this?
@BBlessingGod any tama warlord series :D
@Moog167 haha, what do you mean by any? I can't seem to find it.. maybe it's custom made specially for ronald? (:
I wonder what tracks he's playing on.
what snare is he playing here? sounds really good!
Dude all Ronald snares sounds fire and I am always looking for them
tama starphonic bubinga
What a beautiful ride! Does anyone know what it is? I'm guessing it's a K Constantinople, but I'm not sure.
how do u get endorsed by tama
anyone know whats happening at 41.39..i would greatly apreciate ..
34:18 his reaction just killed me with laughter
If only it was possible for humans.....
ahaha the msn window is open ahahah
very nice solo!
what kind of drum set? tama ....? thanks in advance :)
whats the little china to his left?
What's the name this music that his play in 13:15'?
Proto-Cosmos
No matter how extraordinary Roland Bruner is, 34:18 - 35:02 was just rude and insulting. His excuse 'I love you man' doesn't make up for his behavior.
Love Ron , but I agree , that was fairly obnoxious
VERY SAD COMMENT FROM HIM.....
Bit of a douchebag reaction, i agree....
He was talking about the sound quality not his language...
Its not that deep. He was joking about the mic, not his voice.
The song at 13:11 is an original composition of Allan Pasqua guys is not Dennis or Holdsworth
yes,Proto Cosmos
@BBlessingGod The Tama Warlord snare series include 5 snares called the Titan,Spartan,Praetorian,Masai, and Valkyrie

Tama is the best! 3
Lo tenes a tremendo batero enfrente y le preguntas qué parches usa?????
God lord have mercy yessir 41:53-41:59
Thomas Pridgen 25:53-26:15? :p
Does Ron have some inside joke about Derek Roddy or something? lol
more musical grooves ....!! would be nice!!
craziest licks (i think) 45:30 to 45:44
Funny at 34:17.
Whoa, this is great. I wish he would have let more people ask questions. I'm pretty sure it's unnecessary to translate names too.
DENNIS CHAMBERS PLAY ALONG?? =D
get spotted because your good
anyone who tells me this drummer is not musical doesn't love music
i see what you did there lol
29:31 derek roddy lol #hes a heavy metal drummer
un poco loco

Patti Ballinas espero que la estupidez de su juventud se cure con el tiempo,el tipo es increible, pero me quedo con tu groove.
