Stryker is definitely one of the most underrated characters in the MK series. If used properly, he's a BEAST. I was hoping to see him in MKX, but was disappointed when they didn't include him.
kobra i think could be redeemed with a different design and story,but mokap and hsu hao are doomed. Mokap is a joke character and Hsu Hao is pretty much hate by his creators for some reason and by fans. Plus meat probably had a chance to be liked but it was wasted. Bo rai cho is good, but Kai and Jarek could be different from being a liu kang and kano ripoff.
Damn I thought this was going to be a joke but come to think about it Striker had improved a lot in MK9. He was pretty lit. I actually did like him a lot more in MK9. His fatalities were a lot better too. Can never go wrong with busting someone's head like a melon with a desert eagle.
At least Stryker is a human that relies solely on his weapons. In real life, this is what we would all rely on and the better you're at using them the longer you can survive and eliminate threats in the real world. So all this talk about him being wack is pointless when we as humans can really relate to him the most in real life. We should all have an inner Stryker.

I adore Kurtis Stryker. He differs from other mk fighters and has very cool fatalities. I even liked him in MK3. Stryker looked fantastic in MK Armageddon, futuristic and unique. In MK9 he was great too

I like Stryker. Criminally underrated. People dismiss him as a lame supercop but he's more than that. If utilised properly, he could be a force to be reckoned with. IN MY PERSONAL MK TIMELINE, if I were booking Stryker, I'd give him more of a edge. My story would have the police force fail to capture major criminals and crime bosses time after time due to incompetence, accidental evidence tampering or just downright laziness with Stryker and his unit being the only ones wanting to do right for the city. Stryker's superior blames him for all the police force's failures and fires him. Stryker retaliates by punching him until his friends physically restrain him. After Stryker leaves, he kills local drug dealers and pimps and whatnot, becoming a Punisher-esque character. As he attempts to keep the city as safe as him can, Stryker goes on a downward spiral filled with beer and pills until one day, he sees his friends and the entire police force get killed by Shao Kahn's army who have invaded Earthrealm. Stryker then uses his skills and wit to defend Earthrealm alongside the good guys, eventually defeating Shao Kahn in his arcade ladder ending and avenging his friends. In my personal timeline, Stryker would sporadically appear in later games, most notably to train Cassie Cage and Jacqui Briggs alongside the Special Forces (Stryker would deal with city-wide threats whereas the Special Forces would deal with Earthrealm's threats). Stryker's mission after this would be helping Hotaru and Darrius in a co-op game (or co-op Konquest Mode) as a supporting character, helping them take out Havik, who would become the main final boss by this point in the story. Stryker, like in MK: Deception, would end up as a Seidan Gaurdsman and sacrifice himself for Hotaru and Darrius as Havik is beaten. ......or something... i don't know....
I like playing with him in MK9. He reminds John Travis the Omega Cop. In MKD you find him trying to reach the Order Realm Academy. If it is canon he should have improved a lot his habilities. The MKA ending although non canon, shows this way before the ending effects itself.

Ah Stryker, he sure is easily overlooked during his early days in Mortal Kombat- I have nothing against his design from day one but at MK- 9 is holy shit- he makes himself look more credible answering to all his critics. Definitely 10/10 .
Stryker is what Dan wishes to be. Dan is a decent martial art master in a world of super powered martial art masters so he sucks. Stryker does too but he managed through extremely well considered Reptile and Mileena are well trained super ninjas that could teleports and routinely slits people's throat. So I think his greatest asset would be his quick wit rather than his durability, and those modern kevlar and paddings are no joke. Stryker's equipments sure did carries him.

Great video ! I've always been a fan of Stryker since day 1, one of my all time favorites in MK. Since he was a human with no powers or technology, he stood out like the rest.
I absolutely love Stryker I pray He returns for MK 11 with a speaking role it also doesn't hurt that MK 9 was my first intro to the game series but also the fact that he is voiced by a legend Matthew Mother Fucking Mercer that's who when I first starting playing I already knew my top 5 Raiden, Lui Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade/Jax Briggs and Kurtis Stryker.
Well Stryker won with pure skill. I mean less face it in a fight skill dominates strength. But then again we have to remember all of the cast are skilled fighters. Kentaro is a skilled martial artist and has fought in wars. So that along with his strength maybe be why Stryker would lose. I mean Liu Kang bested Goro and Liu Kang didn’t have as much strength as Goro. But he was far more skilled than Goro despite Goro being a highly trained fighter himself. Liu Kang may have been the chosen one but his strength never matched Goro’s physically. Stryker was a skilled fighter and S.W.A.T. Team member. I mean taking on multiple territories on his own? Ok how can he not take on Kentaro physically? LOL But Kentaro also has magical abilities so the weapons are necessary for him. I’m surprised the weapons had effect on Kentaro at all.
When I was 7, I can't do any fatalities in MK3 Arcade, I didn't know them. I like to use Stryker just to hear my opponents scream like I was doing a fatality because he has this one move that make them scream like they are being decapitated or something.
Honestly, to think assasins like Reptile and Mileena and the brute that is Kintaro got beat fairly by one SWAT guy astounds me. Mind you, cleanly as well. As if both parties resorted to fisticuffs, stones and clubs. No acid burns we know about, no fire burns, not even a reported stab wound. Why do I say that you ask? Well, yes, what the player is doing is fighting, but what you do isn't neccessarily what happens. Which is why you can shoot them in the face but they get back up. Reptile showed he can dodge the gun fire. Money says Stryker baited Reptile into dodging for fear of getting shot, then wacked him asap. Little tricks like that that you can't actually do in game are what usually happens.

Stryker had a weapons advantage as well. Outworld has no experience with firearms, grenades, or tasers and dude can do mean work with a nightstick.

It really sucks that he's only been playable THREE times across the entire series. MK3, MKA, and MK9.

Well Stryker won with pure skill. I mean less face it in a fight skill dominates strength. But then again we have to remember all of the cast are skilled fighters. Kentaro is a skilled martial artist and has fought in wars. So that along with his strength maybe be why Stryker would lose. I mean Liu Kang bested Goro and Liu Kang didn’t have as much strength as Goro. But he was far more skilled than Goro despite Goro being a highly trained fighter himself. Liu Kang may have been the chosen one but his strength never matched Goro’s physically. Stryker was a skilled fighter and S.W.A.T. Team member. I mean taking on multiple territories on his own? Ok how can he not take on Kentaro physically? LOL But Kentaro also has magical abilities so the weapons are necessary for him. I’m surprised the weapons had effect on Kentaro at all.

When I was 7, I can't do any fatalities in MK3 Arcade, I didn't know them. I like to use Stryker just to hear my opponents scream like I was doing a fatality because he has this one move that make them scream like they are being decapitated or something.

Honestly, to think assasins like Reptile and Mileena and the brute that is Kintaro got beat fairly by one SWAT guy astounds me.
Mind you, cleanly as well. As if both parties resorted to fisticuffs, stones and clubs. No acid burns we know about, no fire burns, not even a reported stab wound.
Why do I say that you ask? Well, yes, what the player is doing is fighting, but what you do isn't neccessarily what happens. Which is why you can shoot them in the face but they get back up. Reptile showed he can dodge the gun fire. Money says Stryker baited Reptile into dodging for fear of getting shot, then wacked him asap. Little tricks like that that you can't actually do in game are what usually happens.

I liked His mk3 costume. unlike most chars atleast he dosent need magic to whoop ass he uses real life weapons. Guns,tasers,nightsticks,grenades etc.

You know if you think about it Striker is kind of like the Batman of the Mortal Kombat universe in his own way

Come on people this is justice to a character that is actually great heck to me in my opinion I like mk3 Stryker because well machine gun and even mk Armageddon Stryker was great and mk9 Stryker i also like him a bit because the police brutality line really bothered me I expected more a Batman/punisher attitude plus he’s an action cop that doesn’t play by the rules and he’s always there lurking thugs punks and any criminal scumbag harming any innocent live in his city yeah New York the Gotham city to his Batman
